⭐ ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ We first visited Costa Calero in May this year and loved it so much that we booked to come back immediately for a ten‑night stay in August, and once again, the hotel exceeded every expectation. Bringing my parents this time made the experience even more special, and the staff went above and beyond throughout our stay. We’ve tried every type of holiday over the years, holiday villages, TUI Blue private villas, and all sorts of different setups , but Costa Calero is by far the best. The hotel has absolutely nailed the balance: it’s wonderfully relaxing if you want a peaceful break, yet there’s loads to do if you prefer a more active holiday. Crucially, it never feels overbearing or chaotic. Everything is calm, easy, and thoughtfully designed. The food is consistently delicious with plenty of choice, the service is outstanding and every member of staff contributes to a genuinely welcoming atmosphere. The facilities and entertainment are fantastic, and the grounds are beautifully maintained, making the whole place feel peaceful and luxurious. Our rooms were kept immaculate every single day, and we want to give a special mention to Ana, whose care and attention made such a difference. It’s clear that the unsung staff here work incredibly hard, and it shows in every detail. We’re already looking forward to going back in May.

Lovely hotel, great facilities. You do need to reserve your sunbed before 10am if you need a parasol. Be prepared to queue at the poolside bar early on in the day but then at around 12 more staff appear and there are no problems. Evening entertainment is insanely bad and the queue for the bar is LONG. The resort is quiet so we took a taxi every night to Puerto del Carmen, which is quite lively and not somewhere I’d stay but had alot more going on. For the price we paid we would go again for a cheap break but I wouldn’t spend a fortune on this accommodation.

We have just spent two weeks all inclusive at this hotel. Upon our arrival late at night, we were met by 2 members of staff who were not the most welcoming to out party of adults and young children. Perhaps you should consider offering a welcome drink, rather than straight down to the formalities and I'm not sure why you require credit card details as there was no explanation to this. The use of a kettle is a refundable 20 euros and the in room safe is around 34 euros. It's the first time that I have had to pay for the use of a room safe. The hotel itself is generally clean and tidy, however round the pool there are plastic glasses, and other discarded items but this can be put down to guests leaving them and not placing them in one of the many recycling bins. In places, this hotel is looking tired and could do with some tlc as there are broken tiles around the children's pool. The rooms are of a good size, storage is good and the shower had good water pressure. The balcony was large and we had fabulous views of the ocean and mountains. The food is repetitive, as it often is in all inclusives but there was plenty of choice throughout the stay and its o k - warm and of good quality. The outdoor restaurant, where lunch is provided, I would describe at best as a school/ work canteen. It was a struggle to find a clean table at times. There are four bars. The first opens at 10am. This is followed by the pool bar, which for some reason does not open til 12.30.Perhaps this should open at 10 . This may eliviate the the pressure on the other bar. Then there is the piano bar which opens at 6 and then the show room bar, which starts at 9. Bar staff do their best but service is often slow and often a long wait to get a drink. If you want a cocktail the ones that we he had were poor quality. Some appear to be premade and carbonated drinks were often flat. The four pools, spa and kids club are the best feature of this hotel and the animation team work tirelessly to keep the children occupied. Although I can't understand why the childrens disco starts as late as 9.15 pm. The evening entertainment is ok and it starts at 10 and finishes at 10.45pm. The best was a live band from the UK, which got the holiday makers singing and dancing. If you are fortunate to get a late checkout, the latest you can stay in the room is until 6pm This is at a cost of 80 euros. Staff on checking out, were as warm as when we checked in, it was just a formality and not that of a hotel that wanted you to return.
