Paradisus by Melia Salinas Lanzarote

An adults-only hotel free from loud music, offering the chance to relax at your own pace. The hotel has a wonderful atmosphere, and the staff are very helpful. The meals are delicious and varied. The "The Reserve" area is highly recommended. Special thanks to Karen, who welcomed us with a lovely smile, and to Saskia, who did her best to make our stay enjoyable. Just got back from this fabulous hotel after spending 11 days there with friends,the hotel is clean & bright,bedrooms were a perfect size,except we would have preferred not to have deck chairs on the balcony, quite uncomfortable for us over 60's folk,there were 3 extra restaurants there,to eat another than the buffet, we found it difficult to book these other restaurants as you have to go on line at midnight, we were generally asleep by then,but the reps came to our rescue, the food in the buffet was not very hot & slightly repetitive, but always found something to eat,we ate lunch most of the time at he ginger bar that was great for lunch,the one big down fall was the sunbeds, they were SO hard & uncomfortable,No Cushions!! especially as us over 60's have joint problems etc,its the first 5*hotel that we have been to with no cushions on them..i suffer from fybromyalgia and have serious joint issues and my husband has a bad back problem, we complained to reception they were very helpful and addressed our issues,we noticed that if you upgraded to the" Reserve"you would have cushions! This holiday wasn't cheap & you are 5* we shouldn't have to pay to be more comfortable ,we highly appreciated your staff especially Soraya & Joana,both went out of there way to help us,all your teams were amazing, friendly and helpful 👏 evening entertainment was very good too,on the whole we had an amazing time,we would love to return but you definitely need to review cushions on the sunbeds because that will stop us all returning, we did speak to other people of all ages they felt the same about it,plus please look into the buffet re making the food hotter too,a few minor changes would definitely helpful ,

We came here for a week as a couple with another couple ! Was amazing, food was absolutely insane and i Am quite picky! The pool was lovely and rooms Really nice, the cleaning ladies were so on it and yhe Staff overall were so nice. The pool could have done with some more music but that’s personal preference ! And the Sunbeds with some cushions would have been more 5*, but overall we loved it! The pina coladas at the shack especially .

We stayed at Paradisus Salinas for 5 nights in May 2026 and everything about the hotel - and the holiday - was absolutely superb!!! Our exceptional experience began before we even arrived. I had contacted the hotel with a couple of requests regarding room preference and assistance in booking the a la carte restaurants. Veronica was the Guest Service representative at the hotel who handled my queries and she went above and beyond to accommodate my requests. She was courteous and prompt with her replies to me, every time. (Upon arrival at the hotel, we received outstanding service from all of the staff whom we dealt with, but Veronica does deserve a special mention.) The hotel is very worthy of it's 5 star rating. We also opted to upgrade to The Reserve and, for us, this was absolutely worth the additional cost. The restaurants were all a very high standard - no need to go to the a la carte for a great dining experience (if you don't want to) - the buffet restaurants were amazing too. The hotel is immaculately clean. The rooms are spacious. The public areas are extremely well-maintained. My one and only additional request to the hotel would be to have sunbeds on the balconies, instead of deckchairs. (They really aren't good for anyone with any form of back problems.) We loved our stay so much that, as soon as we returned home, we booked to stay again in September - that's a first for us. Can't recommend this hotel highly enough!

4 stars not 5 as a few points let it down. Check in very good but as we arrived at 12noon by private transfer ( which is included in tje Hotel prive) oir room.wasnt ready. We inquired about an upgrade and was told for €630 we would have a sea view. Asked what the difference in room was and the lady said no difference at all. We decided not to pay the extra, when we got our room we had a sea view anyway. Apparently tje higher up ypu go that's the price increase but all rooms have a sea view anyway. The room was very nice beach towels slippers and dressing gowns all provided. Free safe and well stocked mini bar. Bathroom had hairdryer with toothbrushes (Bamboo) type. Creams and shower products as well. Beds were turned down and rooms cleaned daily. Maids did an excellent job. Food in the restaurants was excellent. Always something to eat even if you are picky. Staff there always around for drinks and to clean up dishes again excellent and very friendly. We booked the Samira restaurant and the food and service again excellent. Poolside lots of sunbeds and parasols. Always very clean around the pool. We used the Shack quite a few times to eat and the food was great. The lady who served us most days deserves a mention and Guilleramo (sorry for the bad spelling) for keeping us hydrated everyday behind the bar. The entertainment team of Soria Joana and Raquel were fabulous. Asked if you wanted join in but never pushy if you said no. Evening entertainment was ok, a band or singer or DJ some nights also some synchronized swimming one night. There was a beach bar but you had to pay for drinks but got a 20% discount. Let downs: Sunbeds should have cushions you are a 5 star Hotel. Cabana beds €50 a day to use Wow! We were there 2 weeks and didn't see them used once! Reserve people coming to our side to reserve sunbeds shouldn't be aloud. Trying to charge us extra for a sea view room when we had a sea view anyway not on. We did get asked to go to the circle club meeting but after some digging on the internet we said no. Very expensive to join. We weren't asked again. We would recommend the Hotel if you want a relaxing stay by the pool holiday. Thanks Chloe for the bottle of Carva in our room to celebrate our anniversary. Costa Teguise centre is a 10-15min walk away so the hotel is peaceful. Supermarket across the road a few bars within a 5 min walk. We don't go back to the same hotel but would consider another Melia hotel elsewhere.
