The Salmar

What a great find! We had a one night stay here after an evening flight, before heading off for the rest of our holiday. Well located within 10 minutes of the airport, nice speedy transfer and a very warm and thorough welcome from the receptionist, very detailed and professional. We were immediately made to feel welcome and a glass of Cava on arrival is a nice touch (water available too if you don’t want Cava) The rooms are spacious, we stayed in room 420 which was excellent, lovely walk out onto the terrace with numerous sunbeds and daybeds. Kept immaculately clean at all times too. Room has excellent facilities, nice fridge, food prep area, microwave, coffee machine, with complimentary pods on arrival and more available at reception if desired. Bed was a good size and comfortable, nice colour scheme in the room and the pillows some of the best I’ve experienced in a hotel, so soft, ultra supportive, excellent. In a great location and should we be in Tenerife if need of a hotel again, this would most definitely considered, for one night or longer.

We've stayed at this hotel previously when it was the Vincci and the Hotel Tenerife and Golf. The refurb for the rename is great. The staff are fantastic, Miguel is a livewire who remembers you from previous visits, Nuria a beautiful welcome to the hotel. Unfair probably to pick them out but can't remember all the staff names, all were great. Pool area is relaxed and welcoming with nice comfortable beds. Rooms are well equipped with fridge, microwave, hairdryer etc, and the water machines on the landings a great addition. The price inevitably has gone up, but the resort itself is largely undiscovered so price may reduce over time to fill the rooms. If you find a bargain snap it up. We'll be back anyway. Plus a top tip - if your tour operator inclusive transfer is going to be a long wait to fill the bus (even though the hotel is likely to be stop 1 or 2) then a taxi is going to be 10-15 mins and around €12.

Excellent stay beautiful hotel loads of nearby restaurants

Great hotel but can't understand why no one else has complained about the stench in the toilet/ drains in the room. We upgraded to a suite which was very good in regards to the amenities but had to leave the room during the day because the smell was unbearable at times. Reception attempted to resolve the issue by adding liquid (assume bleach) to the drains but the smell returned later that day. Mentioned it at reception again but was told there was an issue that was being resolved, however, this was not so during my stay. Staff are generally helpful, breakfast staff are fabulous, friendly and efficient. Just couldn't utilise the room facilities as we had to leave it to escape the smell, really disappointed.

Just returned home from 5 wonderful nights in the Salmar. First time visiting Tenerife and we struck gold with this hotel. I cannot fault a single thing. The staff are friendly and helpful, always welcoming and able to answer any questions. The room was beautiful, I had a room on the 8th floor with the most gorgeous sea view. It was spotless, with a fridge and coffee machine, the water machine on each floor was very welcome. Breakfast was tasty, lots of options and I missed my morning glass of cava returning home. The hotel itself is beautiful, quiet and the decor is stunning, plenty of sunbed options and never an issue finding one in the sun or the shade. I paid extra for a full body deep tissue massage and it was amazing. Hotel itself is close to the airport, shops, bars and restaurant options a 2 minute walk away. Cannot fault the Salmar in any way. Just sad I had to leave. Thank you for a beautiful stay, cannot wait to return
