What an exceptional hotel. From the moment you are met with a glass a cava, the staff couldn’t do enough for us. The hotel and rooms are spotless. We had a room with a huge terrace, cabana and outdoor tub and shower, it’s well worth the extra money, we never left our room all day, the sun shines directly on the terrace and there is a lovely breeze so easy to sunbathe. There is a little kitchen and fridge in the room and a supermarket a 2 minute walk away. In the evening you are only 3 minutes walk from the centre with a variety of bars and restaurants. It really is a complete relaxing hotel

We stayed for a week in a solarium access terraced room which was beautiful, and the main plus is the huge outside terrace that leads to the various sunbeds, sauna, hot tub, and down a few steps to the pool. Probably amongst the best room we’ve ever had in Europe. A great refurbished property with very modern interiors. However, during our stay they had problems with air conditioning… the clever senors on the patio doors never reset themselves after opening and closing the doors. Several times we had to explain this to the front desk, and they quickly sent an engineer up to fix it, but time after time they didn’t reset. We got fed up of complaining in the end and didn’t let it spoil our holiday. So I’ll knock off 1 star for this inconvenience. Once they are fixed properly, I would not hesitate to return. Every other aspect was top class. Pool lovely although cold! Bar, food especially breakfast was brilliant. Great location with a good supermarket, a few bars and restaurants nearby. Staff very friendly, local to airport. Nice walks along front.

We stayed here 4 nights for a well earned break. The hotel is so chilled and the staff are so helpful and friendly. We had a lovely room 303 which gives you the opportunity to watch the sun rise ♥️. The room was large with a walkin huge shower. The room had all you needed. The bed was huge and the hotel offered pillow options to suit your preference . The pool and terrace area is compact but the beds are spread out enough . What I loved was the number of sunbed styles you had on offer,great idea. The breakfast was very good quality and provided varied options. The location of the hotel is perfect if you don't want the madness of Las Americas but still close enough to go in for a chance of scenery. There are a number of bars and restaurants on your door step to go to and all very reasonably priced . There is a decent supermarket just outside the hotel for your essentials. It was the chilled layed back atmosphere that really got me , outstanding. Just what we were looking for . I'd definately think of coming back ,which is something I don't really do. It was that good.

Lovely hotel. Renovated in July so everything looked perfect and brand new. Great decor. We had an amazing view of sea beach and airport. Spotlessly clean and staff came in every day to clean and make bed. Nice toiletries and lovely big towels for bathroom and pool. Could be changed whenever. It would be nice to get more than 1 standard t bag and 1 milk pot for a week. Water fountains were a great addition so we never needed to get any bottled water. Toaster would be useful. Pool was beautiful and never full or crowded. Was cold on entry. Loads of loungers and seats by pool. Sauna and jacuzzi available to use. Problems with Aircon. No fans available. Worked once. So we then left doors open to get a breeze. Only one lounger on the balcony. Two of us in room. No comfy seating for the other one. Noisy on first night but this improved later. Breakfast was good and staff very friendly and helpful. All hotel staff were friendly and helpful. Sometimes reception staff did not seem concerned about issues. An apology would go a long way. It would be good to have some information about location of hotel and what was nearby. Walks shops cafes restaurants activities. There is a nearby square with cafes restaurants and shops and a supermarket. There is a nice decked walkway to Los Abrigos harbour about 20 mins away. In the other direction you can walk to St Miguel Marina but there are a few steep parts to negotiate. About 30 mins away. On balance we really enjoyed the holiday. The hotel has a few issues and with a few tweaks would be perfect. I would return.

The Salmar is a immaculate hotel right on sea front with panoramic views of the ocean from all rooms. We arrived to be greeted by Nuria on reception and offered a glass of cava which was a nice touch. We were upgraded to a superior room on the 7th floor, room was spotless and nicely decorated with nice touches of a nautical theme, lovely walk in shower too. All staff here are lovely and take pride in the newly renovated surroundings, breakfast is of good quality with plenty of choice, pool area is good too with an upstairs decked area with jacuzzi/ sauna available to use, plenty of sunbeds of good quality, possibly could do with more parasols to shade away from the midday sun in our opinion, but doesn't take away the attraction of this fab hotel, definitely recommend a stay here. Plenty of restaurants and bars nearby.
