Raffles Doha

I had an excellent check-in experience at Raffles Doha, thanks to the exceptional service from my butler, Ibrahim Kholil. He was incredibly welcoming, professional and attentive, taking the time to thoroughly show me around the hotel and explain all the amenities, facilities, restaurants and their opening times. He also went through everything in the room in great detail, making sure I understood how everything worked and had everything I needed. His attention to detail and genuine care made us feel very welcome from the moment we arrived, and his service really set the tone for what has been a fantastic stay. He is a real credit to Raffles Doha and I would like to thank him for making our arrival so smooth and memorable.

Our stay at Raffles Doha was absolutely wonderful. The property itself is breathtakingly beautiful, but what truly made the experience special was the exceptional service and genuine warmth of the staff. Breakfast was a particular highlight. Wafaa, the hostess, was incredibly kind, welcoming, and personable. She made us feel genuinely looked after and was such a pleasure to be around. The supervisor, whose name I unfortunately can’t remember, was equally wonderful; he was so kind, attentive, and friendly. They both created such a warm and welcoming atmosphere that made breakfast something we genuinely looked forward to. I also want to mention the entire breakfast team. Every member of the service staff was incredibly kind, attentive, and courteous. Their warmth and genuine hospitality really stood out and made us feel so welcome. Raffles Doha is a beautiful property, but it’s the people who truly make the experience memorable. We had a wonderful stay and would happily return ◡̈

Very disappointing afternoon tea at Malaki Lounge, Raffles Doha. I’m currently an in-house guest at Fairmont Doha and decided to visit Raffles specifically for afternoon tea. Given the reputation and standard associated with Raffles, I went in with fairly high expectations, but unfortunately the experience was extremely underwhelming. The sandwiches were particularly disappointing. Several had quite a strange taste to them and just weren’t enjoyable. Ironically, the best one was the cucumber sandwich — which, to be fair, is quite difficult to get wrong! The scones were another letdown. They were so dry that I only managed half of one before giving up. For me, warm, soft scones are usually one of the best parts of an afternoon tea, so this was especially disappointing. The cake and pastry selection was also very underwhelming. Out of around six different sweet items, there were only two that I actually thought were good. Considering the setting, the price point and the Raffles name, I expected a much higher standard in both flavour and quality. Rather ironically, the best thing I had was the Coke I paid extra for — which probably sums up the experience! I regularly visit five-star hotels and I'm more than happy to pay premium prices when the quality and experience justify it. Sadly, this afternoon tea simply didn't. The surroundings at Raffles are beautiful, but the food did not come close to matching the setting or the standard I expected. Overall, a very disappointing experience and unfortunately not an afternoon tea I could recommend.

We had a great time in Raffles, the rooms were breathtaking and immaculately furnished. Ibrahim Kholil, the butler was very polite and helpful. He tended to our needs with professionalism and kindness. I would definitely stay again in Raffles the next time I am in Qatar
