Souq Al Wakra Hotel Qatar By Tivoli

Where do I start? I adored this hotel, everything about it from the room(suite) to the pool to the food and the golf buggies! We arrived on the 27th February, exhausted from a 17.5 hour flight from Auckland at about 7 am to be welcomed by Ali (Tivoli he is THE BEST) we upgraded to a suite to get an immediate room - no pressure, our decision. We slept on and off all day, room service and then a short walk, sit by the pool, dinner and bed. Next day.....well you've guessed the rest...war broke out. It was pretty scary as you can imagine, explosions all around us, however we had a very calming call from reception saying all was in hand, they were there, stay indoors for now though. As the stay wore on it was clear we couldn't leave Doha, we were there for some time. This was made so, so easy by the hotel. No fuss, no issue just "of course you have your room" Nothing was too much trouble, the facilities were there for the taking, the spa was a godsend! Food was delicious, both breakfast and dinner were absolutely superb. We had a courtyard to sit in, cleaned daily, room service daily, talk about looked after and lucky. If we had to be marooned in a war zone anywhere, thank heavens we were there! The Souq was open, but very quiet, steeped in history, loved it. The beach was wonderful and only 2 minute walk - ladies take note though that you have to be covered from chin to ankles to use it - not so the hotel pool. It's an amazing hotel, we loved it. On eventually leaving - the upper most thought in my head however is this ....we were worried sick, fearful not knowing what was coming it wasn't an event we have (luckily) ever had to deal with before, bad nights sleep due to bombing etc etc. BUT we got to go home. these wonderful, kind, lovely people were at home. they had to leave their loved ones, come to work, and look after us all - and they did. From lovely Ali and team in reception to the cleaning staff, to the dining staff, to the security team thank you from the bottom of my heart. You are the best people ever - Tivoli you should be proud as punch of every one of them. Love from Liz x

Best in Doha, very friendly staff and amazing facilities. We came 2 times and we hope to come back again.

My stay was excellent especially the iftar was so good i had the best service from Malak and Salma they were so welcoming and friendly they helped us from the beginning to the end .THANK YOU

A hidden gem! We really enjoyed our stay at the Souk Al Wakra Hotel, a fantastic location, excellent staff, delicious breakfast, very close to the Sea with a wonderful choice of restaurants along the seafront.

Fantastic staff, cosy environment and beautiful surroundings. The room was good and clean and all over quiet and calm. Loved it
