Mystique Regis Habana by Royalton

The hotel is fully renovated. Very clean and quiet. Comfortable bed. It's within walking distance to the heart of Havana. The rooftop terrace has a beautiful view of the city and water. Breakfast there was very nice. They serve a continental breakfast and you can request eggs. We would stay there again.

We stayed here for 5 nights as part of a 2 week holiday in Cuba. We chose it partly for its location in Old Havana, making this area easily accessible by foot. The warm welcome from staff continued throughout our stay; they simply couldn’t do enough for us. So friendly and helpful. The hotel itself is quite magnificent with beautiful decor. The food was tasty and cooked well. Our room was spacious with good facilities and surprisingly modern features. It was clean and the massive bed was comfortable. If I return to Havana, and I hope I do, this will be an easy choice for my trip.

If you are looking for a central Havana hotel where you can meet and speak with the locals, this is it. This hotel is near restaurants, art galleries and museums . The "hop on/hop off" bus is a couple blocks away and takes you all around Havana for $10 a day. If your looking for that non-Varadero bubble vacation, this is it. The public beach is 20 min away from this hotel and the locals are lovely. Cuba is definitely a place where you rely on recommendations. We would tell the staff at the hotel what we wanted to do, instantly there would be several options available, everything was always taken care of. The bar service was phenomenal (and 24 hour). Normally it is difficult to find good gins, or frankly anything other than rum, this hotel had top shelf everything. The bar and restaurant staff were extremely knowledgeable and spoke excellent English. Security and the concierge were top notch. Contrary to what the media is saying, if you have common sense, Havana is extremely safe. I felt safer in Havana than I do in Edmonton, Alberta. This is largely due to the fact that the concierge will literally set up your whole day for you and take care of all the little details that make a vacation great. The rooms were large, clean and the housekeeping staff were wonderful. This may be the cleanest hotel I have stayed at in Cuba, I was very impressed. When I go back, I will be staying at the Mystique.

So grateful to have discovered this elegant boutique hotel on the Prado in Havana! Staff was outstanding and so kind - always offering help to make our stay the best. When I got sick the hotel chef even whipped grandmas chicken soup to speed my recovery! That’s the level of care I have never experienced anywhere else in the world!! This hotel is the very best - we wouldn’t stay anywhere else. xoxo

The Mystique Regis hotel is wonderful and all staff were friendly and helpful. Situated in a prime location close to old Habana, we managed to get around easily by foot, taxi or bus. Breakfast is lovely , you can choose how you want your eggs. It’s more of a continental type breakfast but lots of choice. Rooms are very comfortable, clean and nicely furnished in a traditional style. You have a free bottle of water left each day , there is a minibar stocked with soft drinks and beer .
