Sol Caribe Beach

We stayed at Hotel Caribe Varadero and overall had a very good experience. The first two days were a bit cold, but after that the sun came out and the weather turned beautiful for the rest of our stay. The food was good and we never had any issues. There was always something to eat — chicken, pork, fish — and staples like rice and pasta were always available. We never went hungry and there was always enough choice. The alcohol selection was also great; we never felt like anything was missing. We also never had any problems with electricity or basic supplies. There was always toilet paper, always power — everything worked as it should, which is important when you travel. Another big plus was the service. It was honestly out of this world. The staff were very attentive and helpful. There were always drivers available downstairs at the hotel who would take us wherever we wanted to go, which made everything very easy and convenient.

Minus the weather, the hotel was nice. Could use signs to know where the restaurants and gym are but great service. Johnny one of the servers had exceptional and great service and was so kind! A free off the servers we noticed were racist as we can tell because we were the only black people there. One server in particular kept giving us excuses why she couldn’t serve us while serving the other non black people. Over all was a great trip minus the weather.

I would like to preface this review stating I did A LOT of research on resorts before choosing this one. & I am so happy I picked SOL Caribe varadero I cannot express how amazing this resort is. The team at Sol Caribe varadero have exceeded any expectation I could have had. Clean rooms and property. Variety at the buffet; pizza, pasta, bacon, steak with peppers they grill right in front of you. The team really went above & beyond. All matters were handled efficiently, any request made, they listened & cared. Fun entertainment, always doing something for the kids & adults. Bingo by the pool, trivia games with 15 min massage as the prize, water aerobics. Also the entertainment team didn’t force you to participate just so they could take pictures & post it on social media ( like other resorts ). I celebrated my 27th birthday here with my mother & it was the perfect mix of fun, partying & relaxation. I would really like to highlight the following people who truly made my experience ; Alejandro the security guard was proactive in every case. He was kind, caring & most importantly respectful. Manuel & the ladies at the 24hr snack bar were always ready to serve with a smile on their face. & all of the bartenders, from the lobby, to the pool to the beach. All drinks were made good & they were never out of any liquor. I have travelled to Cuba approx 15 times ( cayo coco, holguin, cayo santa Maria etc) & this has been my all time favourite resort, hands down. My mother & I have found a home away from home. We had the opportunity to speak with the owner/manager Fernando who takes pride in his work & treats his team like family. Thank you to the entire team at Sol Caribe for treating us like family. We will be back !!

Excellent hotel. Modern facilities, small and everything close! Food was excellent! Staff amazing. I would return to this resort soon!
