Amanti - MadeForTwo Hotels

We had a blissful 10 night stay here in October. The Hotel is located just outside the centre of Ayia Napa and is a 10 minute stroll to the coast. We opted for the Half Board Plus option which provides a bottle of wine or beers with dinner at the buffet restaurant and the A la Carte restaurants. It is possible to visit each of the A la Cartes per seven nights stay. They are a lovely experience with our favourite being the Asian restaurant. They offer a vegan menu at each which was great for non meat eaters like us. In general the food offerings are very good with lots of choice of freshly prepared dishes. The Hotel has a very modern feel and a relaxing vibe throughout with well appointed rooms and public areas. Outside there are 2 pools with the smaller being a Spa/Hydro combo. As they are unheated the water is a little chilly in October, but I still managed 45 minutes each day to help with rehab on some old muscles. Sun loungers are allocated on your first visit but it is possible to request a move to suit your sun loving tendencies or other requirements. Bottled water is provided to all guests around the pool, which is very convenient. The staff to guest ratio is very high and this provides for great service from the friendly and efficient staff throughout the hotel. Their hard work is evident from the preparation of the food to the maintenance of the hotel in the bedrooms and public areas. This is a very good hotel and doesn't need to push hard to make it a great hotel. To still permit smoking on the external areas and on sun loungers is a practice than needs to stop, many other hotels ban this completely or restrict it to a remote area. There is an attractive bar area but the drinks prices are very high which puts guests off staying in the hotel at night. With a couple of tweaks and the option of an all inclusive drinks package this hotel could rate even above it's current high level.

This is a wonderful hotel, rooms are luxurious and the staff really kind and helpful! Food, including the buffet is excellent! Swimming pools are heaven and it’s close enough to the beach to walk down if you want to! Excellent location for walking into town for some nightlife or a meal if you want to and far enough away not to be bothered of you don’t! Highly recommend, nothing was too much trouble and there are lots of little touches everyday to make your stay that little bit more special! Allocated sun beds is always a hit for us! Can’t stand the sunbed squabbles and this place has plenty to choose from that you can then be allocated for your stay (or arrange to move if you prefer). A lovely experience, restful and luxurious! Cyprus at its best!

The best hotel we have ever stayed in. The staff were all outstanding. Nicos the manager is always present and attentive. We hope to return next year. The Ezaria restaurant is buffet style, with a different theme each night- our favourite was the Cypriot night. The drinks service is excellent. Nocturne is an a la carte restaurant with a 7 course tasting menu. The food was very tasty and well presented. The service was outstanding. Fort O Lana- another a la carte restaurant which is good and worth a visit but not a big step up from Ezaria. It was a nice surprise that this was open in November as the hotel website says that it is closed after October. It is on an outside terrace, but there were heaters provided and you can wear an extra layer. The outside pool and sundeck is lovely and the pool staff were good and will help you pick your sunbeds in a good spot. I liked that the sunbeds were allocated to you for your whole stay. The pool was freezing. The indoor pool was a good temperature and not busy, we often had it to ourselves. We did not use the spa and so cannot comment. It seemed expensive. There is live music in the bar most evenings of a high standard. The cocktails are unusual, theatrical and well worth trying. This is a couples only hotel and had a relaxed vibe. There was a good mix of ages; couples in their 20’s & 30’s and older ie over 55 mainly. The room was well equipped and was serviced twice a day. The main UK TV stations are available ie BBC and ITV as well as film options The reception staff and porter were very helpful, and a good source of local knowledge for planning excursions.

Fabulous holiday mainly due to the superb hotel and staff. Room. Loved the size of the Junior suite where there is a separate walkin shower which is very important to me as i have had back issues and i am concerned if i have a shower in the bath and fall. Maids kept our room very clean and the evening maids for turn down service were so friendly and always had a smile. Pool area and terrace One of the best hotel pools i have ever experienced with lots of room for sun loungers and parasols. My ONLY fault with the hotel was the sun loungers were uncomfortable. There are bars in the base of the lounger which you can feel when lying on your back in a slightly raised sitting position. The mattress was not thick enough to ‘hide’ these. Either new thicker mattresses are needed or new loungers altogether. Normally loungers with mattresses are my favourite type. Most guests seem to stay around the pool during the day (including us) so this is an important issue. The lifeguards and pool guys did a great job in keeping everyone happy by moving parasols for guests to ensure nobody was in anybody elses shade. This is very important for my wife who doesnt like to be in the shade at all!! Restaurants Food and service in these were superb. The breakfast dining had a calm atmosphere compared to many other hotels. I think this is due to coffee being brought to you and egg specialities are ordered and brought to you. This means there is no queueing in the serving area. The chefs always ensure the food is topped up regularly, again to ensure no queueing. Staff were busy at breakfast but again their service was excellent, clearing plates away quickly. Immenso was our favourite with superb views across the resort and the food in the buffet was possibly the best we have had compared to other hotel buffet restaurants. Bar We stayed in the hotel bar in the evening a few times and the entertainment was low key but we really enjoyed it. The waitress with long dark hair was always friendly and always had a smile on her face. We didnt try a cocktail but they looked amazing. Reception and porter/concierge Thank you to Suzanna who arranged our late check out which was a massive help due to our late flight. Also to Stelios, who was very helpful with tips on the area. I looked forward to our chats every day, whether that be on latest football or just having a laugh. He was great fun.

Excellent holiday, staff were extremely attentive across the hotel. Room and bathroom was a good size, large balcony with a perfect pool and sea view. The restaurant staff were efficient and the hospitality team at the pool ensured that we were set up for the day on our allocated sunbeds with our fresh towels and water, later providing a frozen smoothie shot for refreshment. The a la carte restaurants were very good and the half board plus option ensured that we had decent drinks to accompany the meals. The operations manager Nikos worked tirelessly to facilitate guest satisfaction. We enjoyed the live music and sophisticated cocktails in the bar area. The housekeeping team and turn down service were a good standard, replenishing water and Nespresso pods when requested. Having stayed at the Amarvi in Paphos we had high standards for a romantic holiday and the Amanti delivered on this. We will likely return and recommend the hotel to others.
