Where do I start... Staff: all absolutely lovely, with special mention to the man on reception and Monika and Evelina at the pool bar, plus all the friendly hardworking staff in the dining hall. Food: Exquisite. Every day an extensive range of different cuisines. Usually with Half Board we find ourselves eating out at evening meal around half the time due to the monotony of what buffets usually offer...but not this time. Cleaning staff: All went above and BEYOND every day to keep it spotlessly clean. Rooms cleaned every day, and every member of staff always greeted you with a hello and a smile. Extremely reasonably priced given that it's a genuine '4 Star' To summarise: Will definitely stay here again. It's our 2nd time to Protaras and we'll be returning next year to this wonderful hotel, for sure. They all deserve a huge pat on the back for their efficiency and professionalism in running this place.

We’ve just come back from a 10-night half board stay at this hotel. We know Cyprus well – we got married here and have family on the island. Last year we stayed at the Amanti in Ayia Napa which is a true 5-star experience and highly recommended. Sadly, this hotel didn’t come close to 3 star. Reception & Check-In Reception was fine – no issues here. Rooms Rooms have two single beds pushed together, which I understand is practical for hotels, but as a newly married couple, a double would’ve been nicer. The beds slide all over the place and are very noisy. The rooms are also incredibly loud – you can hear everything from toilets flushing to people coughing next door, moving furniture above you, and shouting outside. Cleanliness was average. The room was generally clean, but not to my standard (I'm a nurse, so maybe I'm a bit particular - to the average person it’s probably fine) There was visible dust above the bed ledge and marks on the tiles in the shower. There’s a fridge in the room, but you have to pay to use the safe – which I find a bit cheeky for a 4 star hotel. Our shower broke – likely due to the cleaners hosing it down to clean – and it took 24 hours and three separate reports before someone actually fixed it. On the third time asking, a lovely maintenance guy came and sorted it within 15minutes – shame it took so long to get to that point. When we got into the shower - no towels so back down again. I used the gym - this was empty and fine for your stay. I’ve stayed in better hotels where the gym wasn’t as nice as here. Food We’re not picky eaters, but the food was really basic. Breakfast was so poor we ended up skipping it or just having cereal. Think greasy full English from a cafe. undercooked waffles, and pastries that were clearly frozen then reheated. The fruit often tasted of garlic – I assume the same knife was used to chop both. Plates, cups and cutlery were also often dirty/stained – the dishwasher needs attention. Dinner was a mixed bag. The first meal we had was actually decent and gave us hope, but the second time we went down, the food was awful and we left hungry. No one came to take a drinks order despite us waiting for over 15 minutes. Pool Area Didn’t use the pool so can’t fully comment. Towels require a €10 deposit each, but they were good quality. Plenty of sunbeds if you go down around 9–10am. Any later and you’ll struggle peak season. Beaches near by and they’re owned many the local governments so €7.50 for 2 sunbeds and an umbrella. Lifts Tiny and painfully slow. You can easily wait five minutes for one. There is another lift at the far end of the hotel that’s a bit quicker. Location It’s about a 20-minute walk into Protaras – we didn’t mind that, but the walk isn’t ideal if you have mobility issues as there are no pavements in parts. Bolt and local taxis were easy to book when we needed them. Final Thoughts Pay cheap – expect cheap. We were drawn in by the photos and low price, but we definitely got what we paid for. In hindsight, we’d have rather spent the extra and gone elsewhere. If you’re just looking for a budget break and aren’t too fussed about food or service, this might suit you. But if you value peace and quality – this isn’t the one.

Returned just over 2 weeks from The Bohemian Gardens. Not just any holiday my Son was getting married in a hotel up the coast. On arrival it was just as the photos and description had said. Such a warm welcome from the Reception staff. When arriving in our room we were a little disappointed we didn't have a pool view but after a day it was apparent that we had the quieter side of the hotel. Everything was great, staff were exceptional and nothing too much trouble. The food choices were good something for everyone. I can't remember everyone's name but Eveline in the Bar was wonderful always had a smile on her face. We wanted a quiet intimate hotel to relax after the wedding and we were not disappointed. Rooms adequate and beds so comfortable. The only downside was a small shower room with little room to put our cosmetics and toiletries but didn't impact our stay, we must learn to travel lighter. A very short walk to the lovely Pernina Beach. Very reasonable price for sun beds and umbrellas. An absolutely fantastic holiday and can't wait to come back. Thank you for making a very special trip to Cyprus even more special.
