Machchafushi Island Resort & Spa Maldives, The Centara Collection

Nemohu dát 5*, protože...byli jsme na Maledivách už 6x, viděli jsme jiná místa. Centara je malý resort, všude je blízko, dobře dostupný hydroplanem z Malé. Ubytování - vše v pořádku, úklid denně, nové ručníky, voda a plný minibar. Bydleli jsme v bungalovu 111, je to blízko fo restaurace i do obchodu, ale také je zde přístav, lodě trochu smrdí, když odjíždějí. Bohužel 4 noci byla vedle ubytovaná skupina z Indie, strašný hluk a nepořádek, brali nám plážová lehátka i ručníky a nemohli jsme spát, poslouchali nahlas hudbu. Řešil jsem to asi 3x a to na dovolené nechcete!!! Už bych také nejel na výlet za žralokem obrovským - na moři je 40 lodí a je to hon na žraloka. Pak se objeví a na 5 minut skočí do vody 100 lidí, to je hrůza a kde je úcta k přírodě...jsou to vyhozené peníze! Masáže kvalitní, byl jsem 1x. Dobrá thajská restaurace, ale v rámci all inclusive přesto nutné za některá jídla platit...Totéž platí v Reef baru, za některé nápoje se platí, například mojito za 13 USD. Na ostrově je ale klid, moře je čisté a na šnorchlování to není daleko, viděli jsme želvu asi 5 metrů v moři. Nejsem si jistý, jestli se sem chci vrátit, podívám se rád i na jiná místa!

The Maldives were a a bucket list destination for us, and Centara Machchafushi delivered. The highlight of the resort is the easily accessible house reef that encircles the whole island, and that's why we chose the resort in the first place. We are avid snorkelers and have dived and snorkeled around the world. The snorkeling at the resort was top-grade, one of the best we have seen. The coral was extremely healthy and amazing, the marine life was varied and stunning. If you like the underwater, this is the destination. One can snorkel around the whole island by setting off from one of the overwater bungalows or directly from the dive centre in less than two hours, weather and tides permitting. Our overwater bungalow was super nice, spotless, and extremely functional. We had the unit 80, which was optimally located in a relatively deeper part of the lagoon conducive to swimming and with access to the outer part of the house reef in high tide (though you have to be quite experienced swimmer and snorkeler and be extra careful where you cross over). The service at the whole resort was exceptional. We want to particularly thank chef Sandhil for the excellent food he prepared at the club for our anniversary (his creations were well beyond our expectations) and the club manager Rishrd for his great hospitality and attention to detail. Others who deserve mentions are the super friendly chef Guiseppe and our professional room attendants Ibrahim and Sabbin. All in all, the resort offered very good value for the price during the low season. We had the full-board option, which was more than adequate in terms of flexibility, variety, and drink options with the meals. I highly recommend this resort to avid snorkelers (and divers) who want convenient shore access to a world-class reef in the Maldives without compromising on service and quality. Wow what a holiday . From start to finish this holiday was amazing . I think what made it special was the amazing staff , there are too many to name but for us Rishard and the chef in the club went beyond. We loved our daily chats with Rishard who truly made our holiday the best . Sabbir who cleaned our room also deserves a special mention , so polite and cleaning standards were very high . Food was excellent at all meals . Our room was in a great position and sometimes we were the only people on the beach . The reef was the best with so much marine life and we were so pleased that we saw whales sharks on our trip. We had treatments at the spa that were of an excellent standard . Thank you to all the staff that made our stay a very memorable one
