SO/ Maldives

Some places impress you with their beauty. SO/ Maldives made us feel genuinely cared for. The resort was spotless, and the food at every restaurant we visited was delicious and beautifully presented. But the people are what made our stay unforgettable. Every interaction felt warm and effortless, and the team always made us feel welcome. I’m especially grateful to the manager and staff for the kindness and understanding they showed when I needed their help with a matter during our stay. They listened, took it seriously, and did more than I expected. A special thank you to Lamir, who looked after us with so much care. We were also celebrating my wife’s birthday, and the team surprised us by decorating our room and preparing a cake for her. It was such a thoughtful gesture and a lovely memory for our family. SO/ Maldives deserves every bit of praise. Thank you to the whole team for making our stay feel so special. We would happily come back.

We have had the best stay at So/ Maldives! Plenty of activities to have fun. The perfect lagoon to swim without any worries. All the food is to die for... Moreover the whole team is always on the ball, friendly and helpful. I would like to give special shoutouts to: Levi our Island host who managed all our questions and made it so easy by sorting all our bookings. Adam and the chefs at citronelle club who went above and beyond by sharing his best maldivian dishes with us. Luna our waitress at Adaba and Citronelle who was hands down the warmest person. Eli the top notch waitress at lazuli. Siraj, the great photographer who took amazing shots of us. Nick, the super friendly, master pizzaiolo who showed us how to cook a pizza in the woodfire oven. And again to all the rest of the staff who were the loveliest people. Highly recommend this for your next holiday. They set the bar very very high!

We had an amazing stay at SO/ Maldives. Everything was excellent from the moment we arrived until the end of our stay. A very special thank you to Ana, who truly made our experience even better. She was extremely helpful, caring, and attentive throughout our stay. She always made sure we had everything we needed and provided us with outstanding service. Her warm and professional attitude really made a difference, and we truly appreciate everything she did for us. The food was also excellent, with great quality and a very good selection. We really enjoyed every meal. Housekeeping did a fantastic job as well. Our villa was always very clean, well organized, and beautifully maintained. Overall, we had a wonderful experience at SO/ Maldives and really enjoyed our stay. Thank you to the entire team, and especially Ana, for making our holiday so memorable. We would definitely love to come back again!

We just had the most relaxing couples spa treatment with Hubeto and Ari. It was absolutely divine. All our aches and tension have gone. They were wonderful masseuses who listened to our specific needs. We highly recommend a visit if you are staying at the resort.

My husband and I visited SO/ with our almost 2 year old son to celebrate our fourth anniversary and our stay was a dream come true. We really enjoyed the hospitality, wide-selection of international cuisine, and amenities that the resort offered. Our favorite parts were having an almost all-halal food menu at every dining location and the absolute privacy of our personal pool and villa. We also thoroughly enjoyed our experience at the spa, where my husband and I received daily massages. The spa offered both male and female masseuses which was very important to us due to religious reasons. We also appreciated that the resort had a mosque, where my husband was able to attend Jummah/Friday Prayer. Everyone we interacted with at the resort was extremely kind, caring, and respectful. A few of the staff members that we wish to highlight that made our stay extra special and who would always go above and beyond for us are: our GEM (Ana), our servers at The Citronelle (Sulman, Araily, Shaan, & Luna), the best bartender for mocktails (Buddha), our masseuses (KC, Atul, & Huberto), and Satira from breakfast at The Citronelle who was always very friendly and helped refill bottles of milk for our toddler. Although traveling to Maldives took well over 24 hours for us, the hospitality, kindness, and friendliness with which we were met with made the entire trip worthwhile. Our GEM Ana was extremely sweet and was always readily available to help and assist in whatever way she could. She would text and check up on us daily, responded to all requests or inquiries very promptly, and would always go above and beyond to accommodate us with lots of things such as an early check-in and late check-out, which helped us a lot especially while traveling with a toddler. The only other thing that would have made our stay even more memorable was if the resort provided more affordable excursions and activities. The few that were available felt very expensive and overpriced, most were anywhere between $100-$250/person for 1-3 hours of activity and had additional 10% and 17% taxes, which just didn’t feel worth it after spending so much for the vacation package itself. We loved our stay at the SO/ Resort itself but we also would have really enjoyed the opportunity to see more of what Maldives has to offer. Overall, it was an amazing experience and we are extremely happy and satisfied with our stay. We would definitely recommend SO/ to all our friends, family, and anyone looking for a fun and relaxing vacation.
