Mixed review about this hotel. We were say disappointed Negatives - Although our Room was nice and spacious it was so dark and quite depresssing. Dark walls, wardrobes etc Probably the worst balcony and view I’ve ever had in a hotel. We looked into the apartment block built right in front of the hotel entrance The balcony was dark with cheap plastic table chairs Not enough cupboard / hanging space for a week stay. Light switches were a pain to operate . Never fully got to grips with them Not enough sockets at the bedside cabinets Read some reviews before I came about the pool and thought people might have been a bit too critical of the outdoor pool but having been here I agree. What a pain it is. Have to book an AM or PM slot and access is via the basement, along a very long tunnel under the road which then brings you out to the pool. DJ playing loud music so if you want peace and quiet then forget it - this is a beach club. If you’re fortunate enough to get one of the few beds facing the river then great otherwise you’re facing the back of someone else’s lounger. This set up was not for us. We aren’t sun worshipers but we like to pop past the pool for an hour or so when it suits but we couldn’t do this. We found a nice rocky area just along from the hotel which was popular to sit for a bit with our towels and to swim in the river Positives Hotel is spotlessly clean and modern Shower was amazing and the bathroom was huge Room was spacious with a big comfortable bed and pillows Good air conditioning Plenty of water and coffee stocked up each day Location was great . Just a few mins walk away from all the restaurants and ferries and right next door to the huge indoor shopping centre Most of the staff were lovely and friendly, except the chap who checked us in.
We had an excellent stay at this hotel it was exceptionally clean, staff were friendly and the breakfast was great. I would certainly recommend this hotel
Rooms were up to the expectations, but unfortunately the shower let it down. Fixed shower screen that did not shield the shower. The handheld element was mostly useless. The pool shown is not officially part of the hotel and overlooked by the road.
Perfect hotel in a perfect location. We will hopefully be back soon. We enjoyed the Beach Club, comfy large beds, cleanliness and attention to detail. The varied offering at the buffet breakfast was really nice.
This area of Sliema is very over developed and there is still building work in progress. The hotel is spotlessly clean and very efficient but it has a distinct corporate feel about it, ideal for a conference but not really for a week's holiday. For example the bar is tucked away on the first floor rather than being a welcoming focal point by reception. The pool and sunbed situation is very unusual. As I understand it is not part of the hotel so you have to book a sunbed in advance and hope that there are some available. We didn't have a problem but I can see there could be problems with availability in high season. Overall we enjoyed our stay, the room was amazing!
