Tal Frenc Apartments

We had a fantastic stay at Ta Frenc Apartments in Gozo! The atmosphere is so warm and friendly – it really feels like a home away from home. The apartments are super spacious and fully equipped with everything you could possibly need. Air conditioning and ceiling fans kept us comfortable throughout our stay. Perfect for families or anyone looking for a relaxing and welcoming place to stay in Gozo. Highly recommended!

Awesome stay! Exceeded expectations on any count. Spacious, ingeniously laid out, small yet incredibly airy and spacious 2-bedroom, 2-bathroom apartment with a front yard and beautiful rear balcony leading directly to the oasis-like pool area; all set in one of Gozo's quietest locations imaginable, with views of the Giordan lighthouse prominently visible from the pool area to the left and wonderful country and sea-views to the right. Exceptionally clean too - from the floors, appliances, crockery and furniture right up to the bathrooms (equipped with high-quality shower gel), towels and bed-linen - absolutely spotless! Have to admit I was fearing the presence of cockroaches given the heat and highly touristic traffic this place rightfully enjoys, so I pre-armed myself with insecticide - but the only insects I ever saw were a couple of innocuous flies that came in from the pool area after leaving one of the enormous aluminium sliding doors wide open. The apartment was so cool (in July!!) it's a good thing the owners made the A/C's in both bedrooms optional - the ceiling fans (including the dining / living area) are more than up to the job of keeping even myself cool - something I normally struggle with. Sipping a couple of cold beers on the comfortable (Poltronesofa'!) couch watching Wheeler Dealers on the comprehensive GO TV package including 40" Philips smart TV was a great way to melt my stress away knowing my kids were having the time of their life in the excellent pool no more than 20 metres behind me in total safety. I must also mention I availed myself of the optional shopping pack offered, and for a mere 25€ it was a life-saver for an afternoon snack, early-morning breakfast or late night bite. It was also very good value given that most of the items were top brands like Kellogg's, Nescafe and Lurpak; while the 6-pack of Kristal 2L water was indeed an indispensable addition; and finding it there rather than having to carry it at 3PM in July was a true breath of fresh air. Have to say I never encountered suich an idea and it definitely started off the holiday on the right foot! The fridge-freezer, hob and oven too are top-brand stuff (Smeg), and although far from modern were more than up to the job. Bad points? Well yes... 1) The kitchen is not only very old but shows signs of extreme wear and tear - the drawers stick and are hard to close properly, requiring shoves and haranguing to open and close properly. 2) The kitchen drain smells a bit and I counteracted that satisfactorily by spraying anti-bacterial spray inside the overflow. 3) 12 coffee pods are optional and cost €2.50 - that's plain STINGY when I'm spending upwards of 300€ for 2 nights! I'd rather have gotten just 6 for free. That's just about it really - overall I cannot but give this place top-ratings and I will most definitely return - hoping to find a refurbished kitchen and a few coffee pods for free ;) I'd be one hippy happy bunny then! Keep it up!

This resort consists of about 50 different apartments, encircling a lovely pool area in a quiet small village of Gozo. Our two-bedroomed apt was indeed very large, comfortable and absolutely safe and clean. Would highly recommend it for families with children!

This time we choose this week as we were busy in the Month of August, We stayed in the Apartments at the Ta Frenc and we had a first floor apt. with a lovely view of the pool and surroundings area the Apt is very spacious and nicely decorated fresh painted, the furniture is lovely and spacious, as you will see in the photos below, it has 2 Bedrooms and a shower room and a Bathroom,,with a lovely Balcony facing the pool, both bedrooms with AC PLUS LARGE CEILING FANS.

Whilst the rooms and pool were clean and very spacious, these apartments are highly inaccessible to people like us with buggies and small children. No lifts at all, and even to go to the pool you have to go outside in the street and round the block only to find another flight of stairs. The bins around the pool area were full on Saturday night and by this morning (Tuesday) they were still unemptied. Parking is disastrous, although on their website it states that parking is available... ermmm where??? Also on their website it also states that microwaves are available in all rooms.. when i called to confirm, as we have small babies and need to sterilize their things, we were told that no they are not available. However after insisting we did get a microwave in each of our rooms so thanks for that.
