Urban Valley Resort & Spa

My husband and I stayed at this resort in for ten days in September. The location was very convenient for Valletta and Sliema. The atmosphere around the resort was relaxed and quiet. The room was spacious, comfortable and very clean. Towels beddings were changed everyday. It was good value for money. Service was good, staff were quite attentive. Rahul, one of the maitre'd at the buffet restaurant was always attentive and welcoming and the staff at the restaurant were always ready to help. The bar tender (Yessika) was delightful and super helpful I had a full body massage at the spa. Spa was nice, clean and relaxing. We stayed at this hotel mid October as a young couple and cannot fault this at all! The hotel is immaculate and clean, the lovely staff literally do not stop cleaning this place and it feels so clean and well cared for which shines through everything. When we arrived at approximately 2:30pm our room was ready with an upgrade to a suite much to our surprise and the lady at reception kindly showed us to our room and explained the facilities along the way: The pool: reserving sunbeds is not needed, in fact reserving them is not allowed which is a really great feature as it keeps the poolside calm and serene. The poolside and pool is very clean. The restaurant: we stayed bed and breakfast and loved each breakfast with options of full cooked, multiple fruits and yogurts and a plentiful amount of baked goods on offer for the breakfast buffet. When eating here we found we did not need lunch. We ate out for dinner most nights away from the hotel. The room: we arrived to a wonderfully cleaned room, the safe was very easy to set up and the air con was perfect without being too harsh. We loved the shower, my partner is rather tall (over 6’4”) and found the shower to be of a great height which he struggles to find. The room was complete with a fridge stocked with water and glasses, wine glasses and brew making facilities. We cannot fault the rooms at all. Bar: the bar happy hour is 5-6pm for a 2 for 1 deal on their cocktails. We enjoined this a couple times and found the bar staff very polite and attentive. The spa: we utilised the included indoor pool and sauna as the steam room was under maintenance. This was such a lovely way to spend a couple evenings and felt so relaxing and never too busy. It is open 09:00-20:30. We did not book any of the paid spa treatments so cannot comment on these. We used the hotels shuttle service to Valetta and spinola bay a few times on our trip as it saved on buses and taxis and we found it to the very prompt and comfortable. It is a great thing offered by the hotel however I would definitely recommend booking in advance. Transport links: This is perhaps not the best hotel for those with mobility needs as you will be rather reliant on taxis. Me and my partner often used the university bus stops which are approx a 10-15 min walk away and pass a large supermarket. We found these connected to locations very well and use very affordable bolt taxis where needed. The walk from the bus stop is not for those with mobility needs as it passes through a rocky pathed nature reserve which is beautiful but not overly accessible Overall I would be delighted to stay at this hotel again and really found the staff so attentive and caring towards the hotel. It really made a holiday feel special

Lovely hotel set in gardens, good facilities, very clean . Rooms and towels cleaned and replaced every day. Staff always friendly and ready to help. Shower pressure in rooms very low at times and trying to get the balance between hot and cold water very difficult. Contacted reception once when first arrived regarding access for plugging in kettle. Someone came straight away. Room size great, balcony a bit small but ok, overlooking pool and garden area. Food was great quality and choice and personally suffering with a gluten allergy everything was clearly labelled. Fantastic! The only issue being a bit isolated from other eateries in the area. They did a good deal with a three meal package . A complimentary minibus was provided at various times, otherwise it was taxi. Used spa facilities, lovely 😍

I was here for a group for a women’s conference. The staff in every area was excellent, from housekeeping to food services, to the team that served our conference, everything was done with excellence and a smile. I highly recommend this resort. The rooms are comfortable and the dining room food is good.

Great friendly staff. Food was really good. Rooms fantastic. Imran from reception was very helpful.
