Xemxija Bay Hotel

Excellent place for a holiday.Loved the pool and the delicious cocktails!

Great location, rooms tidied beds made when we came back to room. Big shout out to stephan on reception such a lovely man exceptional customer service skills. Enjoyed the pool, food was ok at the pool bar the breakfast wasn't great though

First of , this hotel is clearly a budget hotel so when we arrived at the hotel i was almost certain about it. However Once inside things didn't look like the online pictures. The reception area is open with loads of unused spaces. The whole place needs a complete refurbishment. Multiple lifts that are confusing. The rooms are ( in our experience) dated at best. To start with , the bathroom, whilst functional but needed work , rusty pipes, broken tiles and generally a bit run down. The bed room furniture is old and needs to be replaced. Only having 2 electric sockets is a problem, plug the fridge and TV in and your done. Unfortunately it needs money spent on it and most guests said the same. Its ok for a base but i wouldn't recommend it. On the other hand the pool area is a good place to be. The dining room is ok ,the breakfast is nothing special, it serves a purpose. I wish I could be more positive but it simply isn't what I was hoping for. For the record, I didn't complain has we only used for a base. I wont go back to the hotel but i would go back to xemxija bay . There are better hotels in the area. My advice, pay a bit more for something else.

The worst hotel (hovel) that we have ever stayed in. So bad we checked out early. Saving grace was the wonderful reception staff. Our first room/apartment 306 was filthy, dangerous and not fit for purpose. Complained and head of house keeping Marina, laughed and said the stuff was 'rusty' not dirty. We have pictures that say otherwise. Asked to speaj to the general Manager Syed Ali, we never heard from him. Moved to another room next day after being shown 2 more which were equally foul. Settled on 406. We were asked to wait for the hovel to clean it, It wasn't clean when we moved in, the flush didn't work, the bathroom floor was full of other peoples hair..disgusting. Maintenance do their best to resolve issues but its all a make do scenario. We have pictures. Left the hovel on 21st,. Before leaving i used a towel to wipe the bathroom floor, it was filthy. Showed it to Marina who insisted she had overseen the cleaning herself, she was rude, insulting, smirking and sarcastic. Marina, you need some customer service training, or dismissal!.Have reported to Malta tourist board and Easy Jet. The website is misleading, what you see is definitely not what you get. BEWARE!!!

Great service! All the staff were very friendly, polite, and helpful. Overall, it was an excellent experience. I really appreciate the hospitality and would definitely recommend this place to others.
