Aloft Playa del Carmen

I'm on my 8th night at this property and I have 1 more night before going back home. The hotel is very well located, 3 blocks from the beach, 1 block from famous 5th Avenue and has grocery store and restaurants within the same plaza building. My room was one of the splash suites, I really enjoyed it. The staffs are amazing, from Ana at the breakfast buffet, to Marcelo at the pool bar and Abraham my room attendant, everyone was welcoming and I had an amazing time. Thank you for making my vacation so memorable!

The Vibe: If you’re looking for a hotel that perfectly balances modern style with spotless cleanliness, this is it. The design is sleek and contemporary, and you can tell the management prioritizes keeping the entire property in top-notch shape. The Food: Don't skip the breakfast! It was easily one of the highlights of our mornings—plenty of variety, fresh ingredients, and a great atmosphere to fuel up before heading out. The Service (The "Abraham" Factor): What really elevated our stay from "great" to "exceptional" was Abraham from the housekeeping team. It’s rare to find someone so genuinely friendly and professional. Super Accommodating: He was incredibly mindful of our schedule, making sure our room was taken care of without ever clashing with our plans. The Talent: We were blown away by his creative towel sculptures! Finding a new "masterpiece" on the bed each day was a highlight we genuinely looked forward to. It’s the people like Abraham who make a hotel feel like a home away from home. We’ll definitely be staying here again!

Service here is basically non-existent. The amenities themselves are good, the location is excellent, and the neighborhood is beautiful. Having a supermarket right downstairs is also very convenient That said, the service really brings this place down. We called for towels the night before and again the next morning — both times we were told they’d be delivered, but nobody ever showed up. We kept calling reception, guest services, concierge, even room service, and the phones just went unanswered. Great physical location and setup overall, but the service is hands down the worst we’ve experienced. We also had bugs in our welcome drinks from the hotel.

This is our go to hotel in Playa. Our third year staying here. We love the location,. Just off the main street (5th) and there is a supermarket just downstairs. The two rooftop pools are a huge plus. Breakfast is wonderful each morning. Santiago is always attentive with coffee and to take our omelet order. Great housekeeping this stay. Abraham was very pleasant, professional and attentive. If you are a Marriott fan and want to stay "in town" instead of a remote beach in Riviera Maya, this is the spot for you.

The hotel is modern, clean and the staff is super attentive. The location is great. You're one block away from 5ta Avenida and only a few blocks away from Mamita's beach. Ideal for business and pleasure. I would like to recognize Ana Paula at the restaurant for her excellent customer service and attention to details making sure that all customers felt welcomed. I also want to recognize Abraham for keeping my room clean and organized during my stay.
