Hilton Tulum Riviera Maya All-Inclusive Resort

Musím uznat, že jsme byli pobytem v hotelu mile překvapeni. Neměli jsme od plážového Hiltonu v Mexiku vysoké očekávání a byli jsme proto překvapeni. Pokoj byl v budově 5 s výhledem do zeleně, tedy na opačnou stranu než je moře. Byl čistý a prostorný a celkově i příjemně světlý. Chyběla nám tam ruční sprcha a toaleta nebyla moc komfortní z důvodu netěsnících a skleněných dveří. Minibar v ceně denně doplňován o nealko a piva. Na recepci to bylo poměrně daleko, ale nám chůze nevadila. Navíc šlo využít neustále pendlující shuttle. Pláž byla dlouhá, ale vstup do moře byl pouze na velice malém úseku u hlavní budovy. Hotel byl poměrně prázdný a tak bylo na pláži vždy dostatek volných míst. Moře zde bylo čisté ale ve zbytku zátoky bylo velké množství řas, které někdy silně zapáchalo, za což hotel ale nemůže neboť je to něco s čím se potýká celá Karibská oblast. Bazénů bylo v hotelu celkem 9. Někdy jsme tam byli úplně sami. Servis byl super. Nosili drinky až na lehátka. Voda vždy čistá a příjemně osvěžující s teplotou lehce nad 30C. U každého bazénu byla také vířivka podstatně teplejší. Strava byla velice nekonzistentní a byla asi nejslabším místem v hotelu. Nešlo o to, že by nebyla dobrá, ale bylo za nás velice zvláštně rozvržena a nekonzistentní. Některý den byla hlavní restaurace VELA North otevřena jak na snídaně, tak obědy i večeře. Zde bylo jídlo výborné. Velký výběr a kvalitní suroviny během všech jídel. Možná bych ocenil více klasických Mexických jídel, ale i těch tam pár bylo. Bohužel dny kdy byla otevřená restaurace na opačné straně hotelu VELA South, byla situace rozdílná. Vnitřní část restaurace s jídlem byla opravdu miniaturní a tudíž i sortiment byl snížen. Navíc uvnitř bylo velké teplo. Sezení venku bylo super, to mi naopak chybělo zase u North. Kombinací těchto dvou by vznikla ideální restaurace. Ala carte restaurace byly také otevřeny dle otevírací doby, která byla různá každý den. Nejlepší za nás byla nečekaně ta Italská. Mexická byla naopak největším zklamáním, což nás mrzí, neboť jsme se na ni těšili nejvíce. Za nás postrádala autentická Mexická jídla a nějaký nápad. Všechny restaurace byly ale velice pěkné. Co nás ale mrzelo nejvíce bylo, že v celém resortu nabízí a jedno a to stejné nápojové menu, kde bylo asi 15 coctailů a to včetně hlavního lobby baru. Nerozumíme, proč například v každé ala carte restauraci neměli toto menu tematicky zaměřené na danou kuchyni. Zároveň na baru bylo obrovské množství alkoholu a různých druhů nápojů, kdy vám barman připravil v podstatě jakýkoli drink, na který jste si vzpomněli - my si ale na žádný nevzpomněli, neboť si dáme 1 maximálně 2 drinky za den a to většinou ještě právě během večeře nebo v lobby baru. Určitě bychom uvítali plnohodnotné a rozsáhlejší menu alespoň právě v lobby, i kdyby jen online, ale s plným rozsahem nabízených nápojů. Zároveň v kavárně u recepce například 3 poslední dny úplně chyběla coca cola zero, kdy jsme se chodili minimálně 2x denně ptát, neboť z postmixu nabízena na barech nám nevyhovovala. Bohužel nedošlo k jejímu doplnění až do našeho odjezdu. Doufám, že nyní je již k dispozici :). Kdybychom celý pobyt měli zhodnotit, tak v případě že by byla výhodná nabídka, klidně bychom se vrátili z důvodu čitého hotelu a velkého množství bazénu včetně jednoho pouze pro dospělé což jsme ale nevyužili, neboť hotel byl prázdný a také právě z důvodu méně lidí. Nevrátili bychom se ale v případě plné ceny a to z důvodu kuchyně a “omezené” nabídce nápojů, která v podstatě omezená není, ale není dobře prezentována. Stejně tak jídlo na pokoj nebylo nikterak prezentováno. V takovém případě bychom volili raději hotel v resortu Grand Palladium nebo některý hotel ze sítě Riu nebo Dreams/Secrets.

I honestly cannot recommend this resort enough. From the moment I arrived, I was royally looked after. The resort itself is beautiful, immaculately maintained and clean, with fantastic food venues, excellent facilities and an outstanding level of hospitality. However, the biggest standout for me was undoubtedly the staff. They truly made my stay unforgettable. A very special mention must go to the entertainment team, Jesus, Christian and Erick. They all constantly stepped out of their way to check in and make sure that I was okay and enjoying my holiday! These three were absolutely amazing! Their energy, friendliness and enthusiasm were infectious, and they went above and beyond to make sure everyone was having a great time. There was always something happening, and even when the weather wasn’t on our side, they did a brilliant job of keeping everyone entertained and making sure the atmosphere remained lively. They are a real credit to the resort! I’d also like to recognise Rio, the Restaurant Manager at Noriku, and Gloria, the Front Office Manager, for making me feel so welcome and well looked after. A huge thank you to all the poolside waiters, especially Marbella and Ivan, who were fantastic throughout my stay. Their attentiveness and friendly service made relaxing by the pool even better. Pedro from Concierge, as well as Alex and Andrea, also deserve a special mention for their wonderful hospitality. When it comes to dining, all the food venues were excellent, but my two favourites were Noriku and La Luce, with Noriku taking the top spot! The food, service and overall experience there were exceptional. Seasalt was another highlight, particularly for lunch, which was delicious. Breakfast also deserves a mention, with an incredible variety of options and a standout smoothie station. No matter what time of day, there was always somewhere to find great food or grab a drink. One of the things I particularly appreciated was the inclusive room service, such a fantastic touch that really adds to the overall experience. The pool towels were refreshed daily, and the resort was consistently clean and well maintained. Getting around was also incredibly easy, with complimentary transport between the rooms and lobby arriving approximately every 10 minutes. There are lots of iguanas that roam around the resort but these are harmless! Also the gardens around the resort are beautiful! There is also free snorkeling at the beach which we didn’t realize until the end of our trip! Also the gym is 24 hours! The photographers around the resort are a lovely touch, capturing special moments throughout your holiday without you having to worry about taking the pictures yourself. The only thing I’d say is that the packages can feel a little overpriced? If they were cheaper I’d definitely have bought them! I think it was $20 for one picture. Overall, this resort delivers on so many levels: beautiful surroundings, excellent food, fantastic facilities and thoughtful little touches that make your stay feel special. But above everything else, it’s the people who make this place what it is. Every member of the team I encountered contributed to such a positive experience, and I left feeling genuinely looked after. A massive thank you to everyone mentioned above, and to the wider team working behind the scenes. You should all be incredibly proud of the experience you provide. I would absolutely return and wouldn’t hesitate to recommend this resort to anyone looking for a fantastic holiday!

Hilton, what an incredible honeymoon experience we had at the Tulum all-inclusive resort! From the endless fun to the delicious food, you didn’t miss a single mark. It was the perfect week following our perfect wedding, and we couldn’t have asked for a better way to celebrate the beginning of our marriage. I especially want to express my gratitude for the amazing team you have. I will never forget the people who made our week so special. Your team is what truly made the resort feel like home. Everyone was patient, caring, and, above all, genuinely welcoming. They remembered our names, made a point of ensuring we felt celebrated, and went above and beyond to make our experience exceptional. The hospitality we experienced was so special that I’ve already made it my next mission to bring my parents to the resort so they can experience the same incredible service and warmth for themselves. I want to give special thanks to Abigail, our concierge, who welcomed us so warmly and sent a beautiful letter to our room congratulating us on our marriage. Thank you to Ariel and Elena, the funny and outgoing entertainers who kept us smiling, and to Daniel, our wonderful poolside waiter who helped make our days by the pool even better. Finally, a heartfelt thank-you to the incredible bartending team: Ismael, Eliber, and Asuncion. They gave us a reason to return every night, stole our hearts with their personalities and hospitality, and truly made our honeymoon unforgettable. The food, amenities, and activities were all wonderful, but it was the people who made our stay truly unforgettable. For a resort that promotes an entire section dedicated to families and children, Hilton Tulum really falls short when it comes to accommodating young kids. One of our biggest frustrations has been the lack of kid-friendly food options and the inconvenient dining hours. The buffet is only available for breakfast, and the earliest dinner reservations are at 6 PM, which is quite late for families with young children. Even then, the restaurants offer very limited children’s options, sometimes only one item on the menu. It makes something as simple as feeding your kids unnecessarily difficult. The children’s amenities have also been disappointing. The outdoor playground is closed for maintenance, and the Kids Corner only allows children ages 4 and up to participate, leaving very little for younger children to enjoy. When a resort specifically markets itself as family-friendly, you expect more thought to be put into the needs and routines of families with young children. Earlier dining options, more variety on children’s menus, and activities accessible to younger kids would make a huge difference. Overall, the resort has been disappointing from a family perspective. For a property that puts so much emphasis on catering to families, the actual experience doesn’t live up to what’s advertised.

The Hilton Riviera Maya Tulum is by all means one of the best places we have stayed. My husband and I chose this resort for our honeymoon, and we were welcomed and celebrated like family everywhere we went. The incredible service starts as soon as you pull onto the property - you are welcomed with smiling faces who take your bags to your room and hand you yummy margaritas. Our dining experience at every restaurant was no different. The food was wonderful and the service was exceptional. We even did the omakase experience which was phenomenal! The spa is gorgeous and so are the pools - so much to do just on the property! Overall, this was such a beautiful place to spend our honeymoon and we will absolutely be back!
