I. HAD THE MOST AMAZING TIME EVER!!! The staff was so friendly, professional, polite, accommodating and helpful!!

We had an amazing stay at the Riu Latino! We traveled here for 6 days to celebrate my best friend's birthday... and this place did not disappoint! Rooms: Very clean and spacious, with great A/C and a beautiful view. The bed was super comfy, though the pillows weren’t my favorite. Food: The buffet was really good with tons of options. The Gourmet and Italian restaurants were both enjoyable, but the steakhouse was a bit disappointing. I ordered the ribeye (my favorite), and it just didn’t quite hit the mark this time. Entertainment: The crew was so fun and full of energy! There was always something going on throughout the day, which made the whole experience even better. Bar Service: Hands down the best service I’ve ever had in Mexico. We never waited more than a couple of minutes for a drink the entire 6 days... we were so impressive! Overall, this was the cleanest resort I’ve stayed at. The staff were incredible, always friendly, welcoming, and smiling. Would definitely come back! Oh and the icing on the cake is you dont have to make reservations for the restaurants, which is always a headache at other resorts we have visited!

Riu Latino was a very clean place and employees always keeping it clean. Employees were very friendly and would help in any way. We loved it was an adult only resort but sometimes the partying for younger individuals was a little to much late at nite (noisy). We felt the restaurants were just okay and not very tasty. Cafeteria/ buffet had better food but still not that good. We would probably not visit this resort again but might another Riu resort. Food choices will definitely play more of a role in our decision on our next all inclusive. Bradley Oltmann

Just got back and already missing it! First time staying at a RIU resort. Went for 6 nights. The resort was beautiful! Very Clean. Worker’s were constantly cleaning all day. Housekeeping came in daily, would tidy up make the beds and leave a cute towel animal on the bed. Refrigerator was always fully stocked with beer, water, soda. The beds were not that comfortable. By the end of the trip, my back was feeling so sore. I definitely was missing my bed at home. The walls are thin you can hear your neighbors very clearly. Would get woken up a lot around 2 AM. So that was the only downside when it came to our room, but overall the room is very pretty, bathrooms are very nice and clean. When we arrived to the hotel at check-in, I did let the front desk know it was my birthday that we were celebrating. Also, my Travel Agent let the hotel know as well and unfortunately they didn’t do anything in my room for my birthday. I was a little bummed out about that. I read other reviews that they did stuff for your birthday. The entertainment during the day and night was so fun!! There are activities all day long. The entertainment team are phenomenal! The entertainment at night was great! There are 5 pools to choose from and depending on your mood you had a pool to go to. If you felt like a party scene, you would go to the swim up bar pool. If that’s not your vibe, there were quiet pools to relax at. There’s definitely a mix of age groups at this hotel. Anywhere from 18 and up. We didn’t go to the beach a whole lot like I thought we would. There was a lot of sargassum. The sand is very soft to walk in. So if you have bad knees or hips like my dad, you will probably have a hard time walking in it. We watched the Sunrise and it was beautiful! Now the most important part. The food and drinks! I read a lot of negative reviews about the food and I am going to strongly disagree. The food was great! Sure there were some items I didn’t care for, but there is so much to choose from and everything was so tasty. The international buffet breakfast was delicious! Pepe’s food by the food was good. Guacamole and pico delicious! The Steakhouse was ok, not terrible but ok. Service was not that great for us. We waited a long time for our server to come. I thought we were forgotten about. The Asian buffet restaurant was one of my favorites! The spring rolls are delicious! We ate at the Italian restaurant 2 nights in a row. It was so good! Highly recommend! There’s definitely food options for everyone. We didn’t really make it to dinner each night till after 7, so they’re usually was a wait at the restaurants, but they give you a buzzer and then you can go to the bar and get a drink and your buzzer will still work. The drinks at the pool were good, but definitely not strong enough. We took a day trip up to Isla Mujeres. We booked through Amstar. Efrain was so helpful! Highly recommend doing the adults only all-inclusive catamaran to Isla Mujeres. Overall, we had such an amazing trip! We are already talking about when we’re going back! Highly recommend!
