Riu Ventura

Very disappointed and this will be our last trip to a RIU property. We checked in and were told the room for my wife and I was ready but the room for our three adult kids was not because they were going to give us a room with two queen bed, and to come back in two hours and we will have it ready, no problem there. When we came back two hours later we were first told they had no rooms for us and after about 45 mins they found a downgraded room with two queen beds and we were told this was our only option and we could contact customer service later if we wanted to get any money back. I contacted RIU when we returned, you can only email them, not talk to a live person, told them our story and the only thing they offered was RIU points. I was not asking for a full refund at all, just to be compensated the difference in taken a downgraded room so that my adult son did not have to share a king bed with his sisters.

Sometimes, you don't need a long vacation to know when you have discovered a special place. Our one-day visit to Hotel Riu Ventura in Cancun was enough to leave us with a wonderful impression and a real appreciation for this beautiful new resort. From the moment we arrived, we were impressed by the modern design, welcoming atmosphere, and overall energyof the resort. Everything felt fresh, bright, and thoughtfully designed, creating an environment that immediately made us feel comfortable and relaxed. But what impressed us most was, once again, the people. From management to every member of the staff we encountered, there was a genuine sense of hospitality and pride in what they do. Everyone was friendly, attentive, professional, and eager to make sure guests were enjoying themselves. Even though our experience lasted only one day, we had the opportunity to enjoy the beautiful surroundings, excellent food, inviting pools, and wonderful ambience. There was a great balance between relaxation and activity, making the resort feel like a place where guests can truly enjoy themselves. What really stood out to us was the quality and enthusiasm of the entire team. A new resort can have beautiful facilities, but it is the people who give it its character and soul. The staff at Riu Ventura are clearly helping to create something special. Our one-day visit was just a taste of what this resort has to offer, but it was enough to make us say: we would definitely come back! Congratulations to the new manager Laura, and the entire Riu Ventura team for creating such a welcoming and enjoyable resort. We appreciate the effort, professionalism, and warmth that went into making our short visit so memorable. One day was enough to make a great impression—and to leave us wanting more! Hotel was lovely. Room was Oceanfront double room was perfect view incredible. Food very basic and repetitive. Reception staff not the best service . Bar staff fantastic . Restaurant staff were busy but friendly . Ate at the Italian restaurant best meal I had there . Steakhouse was lovely also. Only used the adult only pool which was great only downside was you couldn’t smoke so had to make the trip down six floors out the front door down a hill to have a smoke which did not go down well with me. The cleaner in our room actually made my stay for me was brilliant she made little animals out of towels i.e a koala bear hanging from the curtain , a bunny rabbit and a cat and a bear this for me was the best ever she was the best cleaner I’ve ever had at a Cancun hotel and deserves a raise.

I went when it first opened and of course, they needed to go through the growing pains. Just got back from my second time July 31st, 2026 for 7 nights. Service was amazing. Every time I turned around there was someone cleaning floors or windows. I had a swim up room which I strongly recommend amazing! I want to give a big shout out to Salvador & Valtencir at the sports bar. We visited them almost daily and received excellent service. Also Fernando at the pool bar. Always smiling and ready for us everytime we walked up to the bar. He really made our vacation. I own a travel agency and will be selling this resort with no problem. I will be back!

We've stayed at another Riu property in Playa del Carmen, which we loved and thought we'd try this property. Super close to the airport, which is nice and we were so impressed by the food, which was all surprisingly delicious and well-prepared. The staff was also kind and helpful and the rooms were spacious and clean. We were also happy to see the rooms had overhead fans, which we love. There were several pools on property and we had a great time! The gym was the busiest hotel gym I've ever seen so would've been nice if it was bigger, but they couldn't have known that when they built it.
