Secrets Tulum Resort & Beach Club

Can’t speak highly enough of Secrets Tulum. Wonderful facility and amazingly friendly and courteous staff. Love it!!

The resort exceeded my expectations regarding service and quality of staff. This is the perfect place for an Adults Only experience.

Great hotel, very quiet in the heart of tulum. Many things to do. Beach was a free 15 min shuttle away. However many the amenities at the beach were closed.

10/10 Experience at Secrets Tulum! Secrets Tulum was easily one of the best resorts I’ve ever stayed at. From the service to the food, drinks, entertainment, housekeeping, and the people we met, the entire four-day trip was absolutely amazing. A huge shoutout to George, the concierge at the Beach Club. He was incredible from the moment we arrived. He helped us with everything, including setting up our beach bed, making sure we were comfortable, and taking care of anything we needed. He was extremely kind and genuinely made our experience better. Then there was Christian, our waiter/bartender at the Beach Club. This guy was amazing! He was constantly bringing us drinks, recommending different things for us to try, talking with us, and making sure we were having a great time. He was extremely knowledgeable about the drinks and always knew what to recommend. Honestly, I would come back to Secrets Tulum just to see Christian and George again. They were that great. Another huge shoutout to Johnny, the event coordinator, and his entire team. Absolutely immaculate service. They put together some incredible events throughout our stay. The foam party was easily one of the best resort events I’ve ever attended. The day after, Johnny remembered our names, remembered what we liked, and continued to make us feel welcomed. Johnny also organized a volleyball event and did an amazing job bringing everyone together. He coached everybody, interacted with the guests, and created such a fun atmosphere. You could tell he genuinely cared about making sure everyone was having a good time. One of the funniest and most memorable moments was when Johnny remembered my girlfriend’s favorite song, “La Chona.” It was her birthday during the foam party, and when they played the song, she was so happy. Those little personal touches made the trip feel so much more special. The entertainment throughout the resort was fantastic. Definitely go to the events! We went to the foam party, volleyball event, bingo night, and other activities. We met some amazing people along the way, including some people we already knew, and everyone was incredibly friendly and welcoming. The food and drinks were also excellent. The bartenders were funny, friendly, and remembered our names. At the main pool near the pizza area, there were two bartenders who were absolutely great. We kept seeing them throughout our stay, and they were always kind, funny, and willing to talk with us. They made the pool experience even better. The housekeeping deserves a shoutout as well. Everything was kept incredibly clean, and they did an amazing job taking care of our room. One day I may have gotten a little too tipsy and got sick, and when we ordered room service, one of the employees apparently heard us. They actually left us a Sprite to help me recover. That small gesture really showed how attentive and caring the staff were. From the moment we arrived, everyone treated us incredibly well. We were welcomed, taken to our room, and made to feel comfortable immediately. Overall, Secrets Tulum was a 10/10 experience. Four days, and every single day was amazing. Great service, amazing people, great food, incredible drinks, fun events, great music, and an atmosphere that made it easy to relax and enjoy ourselves. If you and your significant other are thinking about taking a trip to Secrets Tulum, I would absolutely recommend it. And to Christian, George, Johnny, and Johnny’s entire team — thank you! You guys made our trip unforgettable. I honestly wish I had gotten your contact information because I would love to reconnect the next time we come back. Christian, George, and Johnny: 10/10. We just returned Sunday after spending 10 days and 9 nights at Secrets Tulum. We are UVC members. This was our second time at this resort, we spent a week there in early February of this year. We planned this trip to celebrate our 35th wedding anniversary with a Vow renewal ceremony at Secrets. Once arrived, we were immediately taken to the preferred club for a very easy check-in process. We did not ask for or receive a room upgrade. We booked a swim out, and that was the room we wanted. Our room was ready, and we met with Mario, our UVC rep, that we had requested. We had previously met Mario just over five years ago when we stayed at what was then Dreams Puerto Aventuras. Mario had our welcome gifts ready for us and introduced us to our concierge, Abril. Abril brought us to our room where the welcome bottle of champagne and strawberries were waiting for us. Plus room banner and bottle of rum that we were able to trade for Mezcal. It was extremely hot the week we were there! So hot that our swim out was only usable in the early mornings and some later evenings. In February it was the complete opposite, too cold to use! We had some issues with our air conditioner working correctly. We had maintenance in to look at it twice. Mario asked one afternoon if it was working yet. After I told him I didn’t think so, we had 5 people in our room within minutes to get to the bottom of why it wasn’t working! One of the workers that came was Julio from the concierge department. (He was not assigned to us, but he was amazing!) After Mario and Julio both checked in on us the next day to find out if the air was working, (we said we couldn’t really tell, but we certainly were not complaining,) Julio whisked all our stuff into the swim-outroom two doors down that had a working air conditioner. To us, this was just another example of exemplary service, and why we are such happy Unlimited Vacation Club members! The day they moved us to our new room was Memorial Day, that was also the day of our wedding vow renewal. This is something the resort offered complementary, with certain room categories. It included flowers, preparation of our wedding clothes, the sand for the ceremony, a champagne toast, special wedding cake, and special arrangements for dinner at the restaurant of our choosing. It also included a romantic breakfast the next morning in our room. We only had to pay the fee for the officiant. It was a wonderful ceremony! Due to the extremely hot and humid weather during the time we were there, we did spend quite a bit of our time at the beach club. Because the Sargasm had been so bad this season, the hotel rooms at the beach club were not open. Neither were the restaurants. They served lunch around 12:30 each day, and it consisted of the basic barefoot grill style hotdog and hamburgers plus a few salad type sides and fruit. They also had no beach loungers on the beach itself, but a few Bali beds. Because of this, there were never many people here at the beach club, and we loved that immensely! We had the best service ever here! Shout out to Christian, he knew we loved tequila, and he kept it flowing! Nighttime Entertainment was a bit lacking, especially since this is a Secrets. We don’t need the big production shows, but during our last stay, they had some type of live music most every night, and we missed that. But Johnny kept the fun rolling during Bingo and Trivia. On Karaoke night, he surprised us with cake for our anniversary! (Leo, the DJ/sound guy, was great, too!) Restaurants were fine, we loved the Carbonara at Portifino, and Bluewater grill was our favorite. We did notice that some of our favorite menu choices that we enjoyed in February were no longer available. We did not try the preferred breakfast option but had the buffet most every morning. We were there usually by 7:30 or so, and everything was always fresh. The only day we had the lunch buffet it was also very good, we enjoyed the pasta station and the options available for fresh grilled meats, including tuna steaks, that we had seared to perfection! Just to name a few favorite employees other than Johnny and Leonardo from the entertainment team, Julio from concierge, and Christian from the beach club, there was; Antonio, bar tender. Sergio, rooftop pool- bar tender, Abril, concierge, Another Christian, restaurant waiter. And again, we can’t say enough about our UVC rep, Mario. He really went over, above and out of his way to make double sure our time spent here was amazing! I want to finish my review with a reminder of how hard all these employees work, and how much they deserve to be recognized for their hard work with tips! If you read anywhere that says tips are included, that is not true, tips are not included, and each hard working employee deserves them!
