IBB Grand Hotel Lublinianka

This was one of the worst hotel experiences I’ve had, and I would not stay here again. Staying the first week of July, the problems started at check-in with the manager herself. Even though the registration form she handed me clearly stated that my reservation had been booked through American Express, she refused to honor or even acknowledge any of the American Express Fine Hotels + Resorts benefits associated with the booking. We were then assigned a room that was unbelievably small. Traveling as a couple, one of us literally had to sit on the bed while the other moved around because there wasn’t enough floor space for two people to walk. To make matters worse, the air conditioning simply did not work. Despite multiple requests, the manager repeatedly refused to move us to another room, even though the hotel appeared to be only about 8% occupied. Eventually, staff admitted that the air conditioning was not functioning in certain sections of the hotel. We asked to be moved to a part of the hotel where it was working, but only after considerable persistence. The replacement room was at least habitable, but the experience had already been soured by the poor service and the complete lack of concern for guest comfort. Even the new room was measuring 80 degrees F as noted on the hotel-provided fan. Between the refusal to honor the advertised American Express benefits, the nonfunctioning air conditioning, and the dismissive customer service, this stay was deeply disappointing. If I return to Lublin, I will stay anywhere but here.

Due to the fact that this is an old building the layout can be a bit weird with stairs and steps all over the place, but that makes it a historical and a bit of a romantic hotel. Breakfast is not really extensive, but good neverthe less. The room was a bit warm, but there was a possibility to open the windows which was located high on the roof. Nice place and I would stay there again.

Pleasant well located hotel at the due of Old Town. A bit tired, but rooms were clean. In a historic building that has been updated. Breakfast was included and adequate but nothing special. There was no staff to assist with luggage, so plan on handling it yourself. Given the size of this small town, four stars, but just.

Just back from a lovely stay at this hotel, it was beautiful and very grand. The amenities were all excellent and staff were friendly. I was there for my granddaughters christening which was situated a few minutes walk from the hotel. It is so central, all tourist attractions are easily walkable from here, there are loads of lovely bars and restaurants nearby. I will be back in Lublin in May and wouldn’t stay anywhere else.

The hotel is in the center of the city, just a few minutes walkfrom the old city center with bars and restaurants. It has a nice old fashioned look on the outside. On the inside it looks modern but in style with the outside. We had a room at the top floor. It was a nice sized room with a sky light that closes automatically when it starts raining. All facilites are nice except the size of the shower. This one is very small, where there seems to be more room available to create a bigger shower. The staff is very friendly and speaks english enough to make a conversation. I would stay here again.
