Hotel Villa Park MED SPA

We are a family with three children. We have been coming to Villa Park regularly for the last 10 years. A few days ago we were there again - unfortunately for the last time. Villa Park is a rather small and quiet hotel. The main „pros” are: Comfortable rooms - those on the park side have a very nice view (unfortunately, only one can accommodate a family of 2+3). Very friendly, courteous staff (bravo!). Good cuisine - especially good breakfasts. Good location - next to the Park, next to the nice fountain. Nice "Spa" area with pools, which can be reached directly from the rooms, without leaving the building. And on top of evertyhing — quiet, relaxed spa ambiance. There are also a few problems - it's mostly minor glitches here and there (the door key pauses time and again, jams shoot out in the evenings, tiles fall off on the balcony, stained carpets, etc.) Renovation or at least refreshing is a must. This time, a big surprise was the rather rude behavior of the owner, who once came to the hotel and in anger began to insult us in the reastaurant. In addition to a great distaste, this left us with a strong impression that we are not welcome at Villa Park - we will not come there again.

We are coming to Villa Park regularly, sometimes even twice a year. Two great advantages are: - fantastic indoor pool with salt water, together with saunas and small graduation tower - excellent restaurant with great cuisine Food is really one of the important argument for my kids to come here, while I have to say they are skinny persons with quite narrow acceptable menu :) In a summer time there is additional outdoor pool open, so you can swim as well, not only play with kids or sit in Jacuzzi. Customer service is very nice, we never had problems. Yesterday we were late for supper and it was so nice they prepared a special table for us. Ciechocinek itself with its special climate is an advantage as well. I can truly recommend this place.

The hotel is nice and the rooms are decent but the breakfast was awful (picture of my “omelet” attached). All the food was dry and really unappetizing looking, which is unusual for Poland! The area caters to medical spa getaways and even though this hotel has the word “med” in the name it does not offer any medical treatments and we had to do all of that across the street (which is way cheaper and has better food). All in all it’s a decent hotel but way too expensive for local prices in Ciechocinek. Pool area is very nice, and the sauna and steams are quiet so you have the place to yourself. The hotel also backs onto a park so it’s quiet with a nice setting. The spa staff are very nice but the treatments are very expensive compared to all other complexes in the area, and I don’t find the price worth it. There is a nice bar downstairs, which has decent food and nice staff, unfortunately the fireplace was never lit because the “wood is wet”. It hadn’t rained for days and it would have really added to the atmosphere as it was -10 outside! All in all decent but would not go back.

It is a new and very clean hotel with decent size rooms, well equipped, with nice and professional staff throughout. SPA is really great and well appointed with lots of services - enjoyable! Location cannot be better in the direct neighbourhood of the park and close to all main attractions of Ciechocinek. Food from menu is great and very nicely presented. Very tasty! Compliments to the Chef. Buffet breakfast/dinner decent but could do with some more variety. Generally, mangers and staff really work hard to make the stay easy and enjoyable, and mostly succeed. Highly recommended place if you happen to go to Ciechocinek!

The hotel and it's staff are of a very good quality but spa is simply excellent. The pool and sauna areas are fairly large and in excellent condition offering variety of attractions. The restaurant offers a tasty breakfast for everyone, also vegans.
