Great location, friendly staff, beautiful nature, delicious food, clean rooms. We enjoyed our stay in Glar hotel a lot. We really appreciated the bread gift we received as a parting gift. We have a few small tips; 1. First off it would be great to allow people to use the spa facilities naked and not only with bathing suits. This does not fit with spa and wellness culture and was rather disappointing to us. 2. Don't charge people money for using the hotel parking spaces. Charging guests 30 pln per day for using the hotel parking felt unnecessary and petty. Especially since there aren't many public transport options around. 3. Make sure extra spa towels are accessible somewhere. We couldn't find any spa towels in our room or the spa area and also didn't find any workers we could ask for it. Unfortunately we did not receive our 'welcome' glass of wine.

This was a very bad experience. We were so much looking forward to a relaxing spa time at Hotel Glar. But I have to say for such a big hotel the spa is ridiculously small. There is no such thing as a relaxing atmosphere. Children are running around and there are just 4 seats to relax and read – they are of course always occupied. For my German friends: Be aware! you have to wear swimsuits in the sauna. Ugh.. This would all be okay, if you get a descent spa treatment. But here comes my story: We asked the spa one week in advance if we should already book a treatment. They sent me an email saying: You don't need to book a treatment in advance, you can do it when you arrive. So we arrived and the spa members said "sorry, we are fully booked for the next 3 days". I couldn't believe what I just heard. I was so angry. I needed to ask for the manager until anyone tried to find a solution. It took until the next day around lunch time to tell me, that we could now book a treatment. One can imagine that the whole evening and the next hours were full of anger and not knowing, if we get a treatment or not. I mean the whole idea of the trip was spa and treatments.. Okay but then we got our treatments: The Spa Rituals. I am not kidding: This was the worst treatments we ever got. It was freezing cold in the room and bright. Not at all a relaxing atmosphere. And don't think you get a proper massage. It was more of body touching than massaging. Incredible. And this is the most expensive treatment. By the way, the last 20 minutes of this expensive 90 minutes treatment includes a cheap amazon light, that is put over your eyes – for whatever reason. 20 minutes under a green light in a freezing bright room. And unfortunately the lady that did the massage was smelling of cigarettes. We were both so incredibly disappointed. If the hotel members could just offer you any compensation after all this horrible situations. But no. Just a "sorry". I have never been in such a disappointing hotel to be honest. I can't recommend it at all! Please don't waste your time and drive from Germany to Poland if you want a relaxing spa weekend. This was the most expensive + bad trip I have ever done. The only good thing is the a la carte restaurant. Incredibly good food!

We really enjoyed the beautiful interior as well as the professionality of staff and management. The food was excellent both in taste and the presentation. We would definitely opt for coming back soon. This time it was a corporate activity but I would come there for a private family vacation as well. Excellent.
