Tivoli Alvor Algarve Resort

Really good holiday for me the staff were really nice and it is 100 percent worth the value for money

We have just returned from 10 days at Tivoli. I was apprehensive after reading some reviews but there was no need. We had a fab time here. The hotel itself is immaculate, everywhere is clean and tidy, staff are constantly around collecting empty glasses etc The rooms were cleaned daily, had everything we needed and had plenty of space. The main restaurant had a lot of choice, the children’s side is limited but there’s plenty of food elsewhere. My 4 year old isn’t fussy and will eat anything but I still saw plenty of plainer foods for children who are fussy. We never had an issue with the temperature of food or it running out. Plenty of space around the pools, people were reserving sunbeds but there wasn’t really any need as we never had a problem getting them. The children’s pool is great as it’s shallow enough that you don’t need to go in with them. We never had a problem booking into the restaurants, you do this by app and enjoyed all 3 of them, Roastic was probably our favourite of the 3. The tent were the entertainment was did get busy but there wasn’t a long wait for drinks as previously suggested. The little train into Alvor is really handy and we used it a few times. We also went to Portimao, Praia de rocha and Lagos. Ubers are really cheap so made visiting places really easy. The access to the beach is really handy and the beach is beautiful. We went to zoomarine, which was really good for our 4 year old, she could go on all the rides and slides as it is aimed at younger children. The staff are very friendly, helpful and welcoming. The only negatives I have are: The area round the pool, the stones are very sharp. Within minutes of arriving at our 1st day round the pool my daughter slipped and sliced her knee open on them. We did wear footwear around the pool from then on but it didn’t stop it being slippy. The mini disco is too early at 5.30pm, I understand they do this before the dinner slots start but I find it was still too early. From when it finished at 6pm there was no more entertainment until 9pm. Having it at 8/830pm would be better than being so early The entertainment at 9pm is hit and miss, in the 10 days we were there we saw the same magician 3 times, same dancing group twice. It also never lasted longer than 45mins. After that there’s nothing. Regardless of this, we still had a great time, it suited us a family with a 4 year old and would definitely return to Tivoli in the future.

Rostislav was a great bar tender, always remembered our oder & even brought the drinks to us .

Resort is lovely to look at but not 4.5*. Poor choice of food, especially for children, in main restaurant. Evening entertainment is lacking for people who would just like a quiet bar to relax in. The Shore bar was in a temporary structure that was not big enough to offer seating for the 1000 guests in resort and there is no where else to go in the evening. Resort is built on a very steep gradient and not suitable for anyone with mobility issues.

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Excellent Holiday at Tivoli Alvor Algarve We have just returned from a wonderful holiday at Tivoli Alvor and had a fantastic experience from start to finish. The hotel is beautifully maintained, spotlessly clean throughout, and the grounds are immaculate. Our room was comfortable and well looked after, with housekeeping doing an excellent job every day. What really made our stay special was the staff. Every member of the team we encountered was friendly, welcoming, and genuinely helpful. Nothing seemed too much trouble, and their professionalism and warmth made us feel valued throughout our stay. The food was also a highlight of the holiday. There was plenty of choice in the main restaurant, and the quality was consistently good. The standout dining experiences for us were the Italian and Steak à la Carte restaurants, both of which offered excellent food, great service, and a lovely atmosphere. The hotel is in a great location for exploring the Algarve, and we enjoyed both relaxing by the pool and venturing out to discover nearby Alvor and the surrounding coastline. Overall, Tivoli Alvor exceeded our expectations, and we wouldn't hesitate to recommend it to anyone looking for a relaxing, high-quality holiday in the Algarve.
