We received absolutely amazing customer service from João Carvalho! He was incredibly friendly, polite, and helpful throughout our stay. We needed to travel to Lisbon midweek, and João went above and beyond to help us buy our train tickets and plan our itinerary. He gave us fantastic advice about train stations, places to eat and drink, and even what time we should head to our football match. Honestly, we couldn’t have planned our trip to Lisbon without him! On top of all this, he kindly gave us a complimentary room upgrade to two connecting rooms, which was such a lovely surprise and made our stay even more special. João is a real credit to the hotel, and his outstanding customer service made such a positive difference to our experience. Thank you so much for all your help!

So far Loving our holiday at The TIVOLI in Alvor. Portugal. With Free transport via the trainbus hourly picking up from just outside takes you to the beautiful white sandy beaches if you don’t fancy the walk across the private bridge and along the boardwalks down to the beach then along the beach until you reach the main old town . The apartment we have is in block 4 (close to the Adult pool and dining areas) an easy walk to the main reception. For those further away ,golf buggies are available driven by helpful staff. There are a few other restaurants on the Resort and tonight we went to The Carosello .The food is good and a special Thank you to the waiter who looked after us ‘Nazim’ who was Friendly, Helpful, Funny & knowledgeable about the Menu. 10 out of 10 for Great Service. Delux Apartments with Balcony is perfect and housekeeping very good . We are Loving the Resort, and would be happy to recommend both the Resort it’s facilities and of course lovely Alvor.

Just home from a 5 night stay. Staff were very friendly and helpful, nothing was ever too much to ask. Pools were nice and clean, they were on the colder side but with it being 28 most days it was nice to cool off in. The shallow edges were a nice touch for the younger kids to paddle around in. Always plenty sun loungers to choice from around all the pools, the kids pool with the climbing frame and the slides was great. Nice large towels available from the pool side although some were fine others were frayed and had a few holes in them. Plenty of drink/water and coffee stations around the resort although there wasn’t always cups/ glasses to be able to help yourself. The entertainment was okay, would of been nice if the popcorn and cream hut was open at night for kids to snack on, the bar did get very busy as all the other ones close at 7, would of been nice if the shore bar stayed open later to be able to have a quiet drink rather than having to be in the loud and busy entertainment tent. The room was very nice and clean on arrival, nice and spacious with a big bathroom. Towels and water replenished daily how ever the coffee tea and milk were not.the air con also don’t work very well, the room was very dusty and I personally don’t think the floors were swept on our stay which you would expect from a 5 star hotel. Being able to cast to the tv from your phone was very handy especially having a younger child. The à la carte restaurant were both fantastic delicious food and the staff were very inventive and great with kids. The salty buffet in the afternoon was okay burgers and hotdogs every day salad and desserts. There was a lot of flys in the salad which was very off putting and not many seats available. The buffet restaurant was okay nothing special, after a few days the food got very repetitive both at lunch and dinner. Food was always just luke warm and during the busier periods by the time u got back to your table it was cold. There wasn’t much choice for kids especially if you have fussy eaters. One of the theme nights was the Atlantic which we didn’t realise and we didn’t book the à la carte for that night and we couldn’t get our little boy in for the smell of fish, so it’s worth checking the theme nights. At breakfast I had to often ask for a bowl or a cup as they weren’t being replenished. I also noticed when the floors were being swept it was being pushed under tables rather than being picked up. The shop could do to store a few more snack for the days you don’t want to leave the resort. The little train runs into town every hour which is a fantastic touch and the kids loved it. The resort itself is on a bit of a slope so if you struggle with mobility it maybe be an issue especially if you are in one of the further away blocks however they do have golf buggy’s on the resort. We had a good holiday and I hope the hotel take on the points I’ve made, I don’t feel like this hotel is a 5 star as there’s a few basic details that needs improvement

Reception had only 1 person on during busy check out times which was surprising. My mother has had surgery on her knee and they advised we were on the ground floor when in fact it was not the case. On departure tried to call to get help with the bags. No answer. Though I do understand it was a busy time but still. Food pretty good. Not amazing choice but good. Very clean hotel . Staff were polite. Over a fairly nice hotel but I wouldn’t stay there again.
