Excellent hotel. Beautiful. High quality and variety of services. Privacy. Very friendly and efficient staff. Better than any description. It was our second time at the hotel and we intended to return.

We had a really great stay at The Reserve for our anniversary. It was our first time in Madeira and I think we picked the perfect hotel to experience it. What really stood out was the service. From having someone meet us right off the plane, to the private check-in, to being able to WhatsApp the team whenever we needed something, everything was just easy. The GEPA team helped us with restaurant recommendations, a rental car, room service and pretty much anything else we threw at them. Our Corner Pool Suite was beautiful, with an amazing view, and housekeeping was honestly exceptional. We also loved breakfast at Jacarandá, the spa, and the Manager’s Cocktail where we got to meet Cristina and learn a bit more about the hotel. But it’s really the people that made the stay. Nicole was wonderful, João somehow put us in a good mood every time we saw him, and there were so many little moments where you could tell the staff genuinely cared about our experience. One recommendation if you’re staying here: rent a car directly through the hotel and explore the island on your own. The process was incredibly easy. Definitely do the PR6 25 Fontes hike and make time for Fanal Forest. Both ended up being highlights of our trip and having the car gave us the freedom to experience Madeira at our own pace.

My stay at the Reserve Palace hotel was extraordinary. The hotel is monumental, featuring a sophisticated atmosphere and stunning interior design that pays homage to Madeiran culture. Its location is excellent, allowing for easy exploration of Funchal on foot while offering beautiful ocean views. The room is a true sanctuary: an ultra-comfortable bed, perfect soundproofing, and a level of quiet and cleanliness that is nothing short of surgical—complemented by an excellent turndown service. The facilities are the resort's standout feature; the main pool is majestic, and the Laurea Spa is undoubtedly one of the best in the world—a spectacular space for relaxation. The dining and breakfast offerings are also of the highest standard. The service crowns the experience with five-star hospitality: warm, helpful, and highly professional. Every penny spent is justified by the exclusivity delivered. I highly recommend it!
