The Reserve

Our stay was absolutely fantastic! The hotel is in a great location, with all aspects facing the sea. The welcome and hospitality were first class. We stayed at the ‘Reserve’ and we were treated like ‘royalty’. We stayed for 3 weeks and I can honestly say that our experience is going to be hard to beat. All staff are friendly, engaging and basically just outstanding ! We look forward to returning..

My second time staying at The Reserve. I was alone the first visit. This time I was with my husband and we were both overwhelmingly pleased with the level of service we received. There is no hotel on earth with this level of attention to detail. The staff is highly skilled and trained to perfection. It’s a paradise, a place to forget the real world. The food and services are fabulous on every single level. The spa and pool gorgeous. We cannot wait to return for visit number 3! It’s is a most satisfying holiday from airport pick up on. First class the entire time. The GM Mrs. C Mata is really doing special things!!

After over 50 countries and countless hotels - the Reserve is hands down one of the best we've ever stayed in. I don't typically write reviews but feel compelled to because our experience was so lovely. We stayed for a week in May 2026 with our 8 month old daughter. This is the place you want to be with a baby! We had originally planned to split our stay between the Reserve and Les Suites and after only a few hours at the Reserve we canceled the other hotel because we were so impressed with the level of care and service. We kept saying it is easier to be here with a baby than at home - if you have a baby you know how rare that statement is when traveling! The staff at the Reserve made her feel so welcomed and loved, providing everything she could ever want, including a crib with her own pillows and night light, a changing station complete with diaper pail, a play gym, high chair, full set of dining plates, cups and utensils, and more. They even brought a pool float for our plunge pool at one point. The room itself was incredible - spacious, well designed, and allowed us privacy with a door between the bedroom and living/dining area for when baby was sleeping. Housekeeping was absolutely amazing - learning our schedule and sneaking in and out around baby naps. Same with room service, they were kind enough to avoid knocking late at night and would message us via our GEPA when food had arrived. The GEPAs themselves have such attention to detail and are incredibly quick to respond to all messages - we loved having this level of service! Breakfast on the roof at the Jacaranda Club each morning was a true experience. The staff was perfect, the food options were plentiful even for gluten free, and the views were incredible. I could go on forever - the valet was speedy and efficient... the private elevator was such a treat...the nightly presents we looked forward to all day... helping in every way to lighten the load on us as new parents. We love the Reserve and we will be back!

We stayed at The Reserve Madeira recently and honestly… We loved it and didn’t want to leave. From the very first moments even before I arrived everything was handled so smoothly. The hotel itself is absolutely stunning, especially the fantastic attentive helpful staff. All of them particularly the GEPA and Restaurant staff were amazing. Nothing was too much trouble. The luxury room was spotless, maintained to a very high standard, and you could feel the attention to detail that The Reserve offers. The unique personal service was very much appreciated, and honestly, it sets the bar very high for other hotels to follow. I would absolutely come back in an heartbeat, and would recommend it to anyone looking for a peaceful, personal, and genuinely relaxing stay. If we could give it six stars we would. We look forward to another trip to this super high class hotel in the near future.

I stayed at The Reserve Madeira recently and honestly… I didn’t want to leave. From the very first moments even before I arrived everything was handled so smoothly. The team helped arrange my transfer and even an airport welcome, which already set the tone for the whole stay. It just felt easy and taken care of. The hotel itself is stunning, especially the biophilic design. There’s something about the way nature is integrated into the space that makes you instantly relax. It feels calm, fresh, and really grounding. And the staff… truly the kindest I’ve experienced. Always there when you need something, 24/7, but never intrusive. Whatever I needed throughout the stay, they were ready to help with genuine warmth and attention. I also really appreciated the amenities especially the chance to try local foods, which added a nice authentic touch to the whole experience. Everything felt very thoughtfully curated. The room was spotless, maintained to a very high standard, and you could feel the attention to detail. I also loved the bath experience such a simple thing, but done so well that it became one of my favorite moments to just unwind. Overall, everything felt top from start to finish — the service, the atmosphere, the details. It’s the kind of place that makes you slow down and actually enjoy the moment. And honestly, it sets the bar very high for other hotels. I would absolutely come back and recommend it to anyone looking for a peaceful, elevated, and genuinely relaxing stay.
