YOTEL PORTO

Chose the Yotel mostly because I’ve stayed in their hotel in Manchester, and because of good reviews here. And I was happy with my choice. It’s nice and modern, and the rooms are small but well equipped with fridge, tv, good air con, and crazy multicoloured lights. I initially thought the hotel was a bit far from the centre of things, but I was mistaken - it’s actually very close to the market area! It’s also right beside the Trinidade station, so very well connected. I ate in the hotel restaurant a couple of times, and enjoyed my meals there too.

Terrible experience. Staff is very unfriendly and not helpful, the food is terrible if at all available. Many menu items not available especially at the Buffet breakfast. Keys stop working randomly requiring multiple trips to the front desk to get them reactivated.It was just a nightmare of a stay. There are many options in Porto you would be well advised to exercise those options.

Absolutely wonderful stay! The room was spotlessly clean, beautifully decorated, modern, and very comfortable. Everything was perfect, but what truly stood out was the kindness and care of the staff. When I became ill during my stay, they went above and beyond and brought me something light to eat in my room. This thoughtful gesture meant so much to me and made me feel genuinely cared for. A beautiful hotel with exceptional hospitality. I would definitely stay here again and highly recommend it!

Clean functional room with a comfortable bed and good WiFi. Our room was mid tier at the back. Not much of a view but quiet and comfortable. The mini fridge struggled as it is located in a closet without enough ventilation. We had meds that needed to be kept cool so kept the closet door open at all times. Awkward but it worked. The towels were skimpy and very worn. Overall would likely return. The location worked for us with easy access to downtown either on foot or from the metro 1 easy block away - giving us easy trip to and from the airport. Staff uniformly pleasant. Skipped their breakfast to walk out and explore new options.

We had a great stay in the Yotel, very impressed with its modern look and feel inside. All the staff were friendly and helpful and got us quickly checked in. The location wasn’t great though, right next to a very busy road with lots of trucks and motorbikes roaring by, some interesting characters outside, and it was a little bit far from the river. There is parking on site but you do have to pay extra for it. They even made us pay 20 Euros just to park our bicycles there which we found a bit tight!! Our room was small but nice, modern and comfortable, but no good views to speak of. We had a fridge (which barely worked), Smart TV, good climate control, and decent Wifi internet. The breakfast buffet was really good and definitely worth the money. The gym also was very good, with lots of new gear – machine weights, free weights, and cardio machines. Nice facility, provided there aren’t too many people trying to use it at the same time. Overall we had a good stay and would recommend it to other travelers.
