COOEE alpin Hotel Bad Kleinkirchheim

As our first family trip skiing, we had a mixed bag of good and bad experiences from the hotel. The hotel is situated in a beautiful area with amazing scenery and views. We arrived on 12 Dec so the skiing season had just started and the skiing area behind the hotel was t open yet. However St Oswalds area which is 10 mins away was open and a great experience for our first time skiing. The hotel is clean and modern and all of the staff were excellent and really helpful However, there are a couple of issues that we had. We paid extra to have the connecting rooms and ended up with rooms 126 & 127. Next to the balcony area of room 126 is the hotels plant room, several Aircon/heating units. I had my window open throughout the night and the noise from the units with the compressors constantly running will ensure you don't get much sleep. Even with the window shut you can hear them. It wasn't pleasant over the 5 nights we stayed. There are no kettles in the room so you are unable to make yourself a hot drink after we returned from skiing. A kettle would have been nice. I was told it's because Cooee are a no frills hotel but have found several thousand pounds in their budget to spend on a robot that delivers drinks to your table at dinner (not so 'no frills in that department'). My last issue was that you pay for half board whilst staying at the hotel but at dinner there are no drinks available, not even water. I appreciate alcohol would be chargeable but I have never been to a hotel while on half board where tap water wasn't available for guests. We took our own water from our room and was told you can't bring your own water to the table. I didn't like that and these issues would prevent me from returning. On a positive the breakfast was plentiful with a nice selection of hot and cold options and the same for dinner. Overall it is a nice hotel in a great location.

People are making that place exceptional. Excellent customer mindset and care that reception team provide is amazing. Laura and Sophie with entire reception are Game changers! I would be always grateful for taking proper care of my lost wedding ring. Rooms have great view and are comfortable for family stay. I do recommend !

Cooee Alpin is a great choice for skiers looking for a comfortable and convenient stay. The hotel is ideally located near the ski slopes, making it perfect for easy access to the mountain. The ski depot is a nice touch, providing a secure place for your equipment, and the wellness area offers a relaxing retreat after a day on the slopes. The breakfast and dinner offerings are solid, providing a decent selection of dishes to fuel your day and satisfy your appetite in the evening. The staff are friendly and attentive, adding to the overall positive experience. For anyone planning a ski trip, this hotel is an excellent option—well-equipped, comfortable, and with a welcoming atmosphere.

We stayed at a Cooee hotel yesterday and this one is, remarkably similar, but that's not a bad thing. This hotel is also on the outskirts of the town with ample parking and enough in the way of facilities for you not to be tempted into town. That said, we only stayed one night! There was a warm greeting from the receptionist including a complimentary juice drink. The bar area was clean and tidy and so was the restaurant area. The food is a buffet (as was the other Cooee hotel) but was more than adequate but nothing fancy. The breakfast was extensive with something for everyone and was of a good quality.

Gorgeous hotel, spotlessly clean with adorable, helpful staff. Location absolutely perfect - ski in and ski out. Opposite the main Gondola. Rooms huge with large balcony. Food varied and plentiful, breakfast was great. Solarium and saunas lovely...would have loved a hot tub or pool but that is the only thing that would have made it better. We think we were the only English there so if you are wanting other Brits then probably not ideal! 2 mins walk from ski shops and the Thermal Baths so pool available at a cost just not in the hotel. Can't fault this hotel and would stay in the same chain in other locations. Well done to all the staff who really were lovely.
