BALANCE - Spa und Golf Hotel

We called hotel and asked for a room for one night for 4 people. They said the price would be 600 euro. On the booking same thing goes for 576 euro. When we came in the hotel it doesnt look like the pictures at all. The spa doesnt work from 7am like they said because the sauna opens at 11 am. Breakfast is good. When we came to pay they said it is 630 euro (we didnt make any additional charges). When my father asked about the price answer from the boss was : "Are you like a genious booker?" Rude and unappropiate. It is not value for money.

The hotel sits on top of the hill in Pörtschach and offers glorious views of the Wörther lake. It is also full of quirky, wonderful art pieces, courtesy of the female owner. Her husband is in charge of the management but also offers lovely wine tastings of Austrian wines. The restaurant is another huge draw with wonderful quality comfort food mainly based on local produce and ingredients. The bar is another not-to-miss spot, especially for gin lovers. The spa area is also state of art so the Das Balance is an all-around perfect choice for a great Wörthersee vacation.

Only thing i can say is that this Hotel is absolutely beautiful. The Food is amazing. The people are amazing. The SPA-Area is amazing. The view is amazing. It is just amazing. If you love to relax, chill and eat really good food, this is where you want to be.

My stay was wonderful! The food is top Hauben cuisine and the staff are eager and friendly. Also the spa area is amazing . Swimming pools, various saunas and also a cold chamber that you must have seen and tested. Looking forward to coming back soon!!!

Lets start with the communication i booked myself via e mail and asked for 2 nights,the answer came there is availability but we should eventually change rooms. Beforehand i send all my details to them with the explicit demand not to charge me before i approve and confirm.Next day we arrived to the Hotel witch is NOT CLOSE TO THE LAKE but to the highway which is not nice specially when the room has no Air Condition???? The pool has nothing to do with the pictures on net ,the area when we arrived had not one free space and the pool was crowded like in community pools. Up on arrival before checking in i stated we will stay just one night but they already started to claim i had to pay for both nights. Just for your understanding they charge there per person /per night(the no ac double room with highway noise 125€ per person) Before dinner which we had there i claimed again that i never confirmed two nights and the second rude receptionist asked me to arrange this in the morning. In the morning when we checked out again they claimed i had to pay for two nights which i refused explaining my point,showing her my e mail but it did not help a lot.I asked to call the owners and after a 5 min argue on the phone i gave up and agreed to pay 30% of a blackmail i never experienced before for the second not confirmed and consumed night. The best was when they stated they do not take Amex and Diners cc ????? and the the terrible receptionist trying to take 800€ from the card instead of 520€what this amusing night with dinner costed.At one moment she started to shout at me that it was not my name on the CC which i was giving her,no way to explain it is a company CC.
