My wife and I stayed five nights over New Years Eve. Initial impressions were generally positive, but seemed understaffed. The staff members put some effort into a NYE celebration: mulled wine, music and fireworks. Unfortunately, on the morning of the 1st we were having some issues with our shower drain – gurgling noises and failing to drain, a staff member came up and had a go at fixing, gave us the all clear to use. Then… my wife was having a shower while I was in the toilet; what I flushed came up through the drain into the shower where she was standing. Excrement on her feet. Staff were extremely embarrassed and apologetic, and moved us to a new room for our final night. The owner however spoke to us in an extremely ugly way (by phone) on checkout. We had expected further apologies from him given what had happened. Instead, he sought to take no blame “as I was not the one to flush the toilet” and claimed we were taking advantage of the situation to gain a free stay. The entire call was him speaking loud and angrily and ended when he hung up on us. We overheard him speaking in the same tones to his staff, which made us feel even more uncomfortable. We were eventually given a 30% discount on our room; but in the end, a situation that could have been salvaged with an apology and goodwill from the owner was compounded by his rudeness. So… overall, a reasonably pleasant hotel with a nice but very small staff, but an owner who is not suited to run a hotel. To avoid a risk of a run-in with him I can only recommend not to stay. And to be very cautious of taking a job here.

Das Personal, ausser der Chef war Freundlich. Der Aufzug war dauerhaft defekt. Meine Frau ist hoch Schwanger und das kleinkind und Gepäck rauf runter Tragen, nicht schön. Es wurde kein Alternatives Zimmer angeboten und ein Dialog wurde verweigert. Ich sollte einfach weiter gehen. Das Frühstück war leider nicht gut. Der Bestell bzw. Anpassungsprozess funktioniert nicht. Beschädigte und dreckige Gläser normal. An der Selbstbedienungsbar überteuerte preise für keinen service. Für den Besuch mit Kleinkinder ist die Anlage auch nicht zu empfehlen. Schade, bei kulanterem Umgang hätte man gerne mehr Geld dagelassen.
