Hotel Bellevue am See

Having read the previous reviews we were cautious about what we would find. We only booked two nights instead of four because of the negative reviews from last year. Has this Hotel been refurbished or changed management? Our suite of rooms were clean and comfortable, we had an ample size bathroom with huge corner bath and shower too. We had a four poster bed and the view from the balcony was beautiful. We had no complaints about anything, tea and coffee facilities in the room were good. Service at the hotel is also worth mentioning as all staff were very friendly and helpful. Breakfast was served in the light and airy conservatory overlooking the lake, food was lovely, all fresh and nothing seemed too much bother when we asked. We moved on after two days but actually in hindsight much preferred this hotel to our next one which had a much higher rating.

Overpriced for what it is !!! - We found 4 spiders in our bedroom and 1 in the shower - room too hot; we couldn't sleep - towels smelled of old - we had 1 hand soap and 1 shower soap for an occupancy of 3 people in the room, so we didn't have enough soap for all 3 showers !!! - bathroom sink and mirrors could have been cleaner - balcony rail was wobbly; I felt VERY unsafe being on the balcony - breakfast was abysmal: very poor choice for 4-star...buffet was tiny; no margarine; when I asked for more bread they said yes but never came out with it; my sister-in-law asked again later and still they never came out with it ! Poor choice of cereal. Hot water for tea was not hot enough for tea bag to infuse...croissants very average. All in all, we will not be coming again !

Sursee is a small town near the lake that bears its name. The hotel is within meetin of the lake and offers a lovely view, quiet surroundings and attentive, dilgent staff. The food is good and well presented by smiling and helpful staff. It's really to bad that the rooms don't have queen or king size beds but only two small beds united to make a Queen. I have also found the price somewhat overdone for an off-season week-end rate, but the place is nice, comfortable and quiet with helpful staff.

We stopped over at this hotel coming from Italy. We had a very nice dinner on the terrace, good and friendly staff, nice view. But the room was very expensive, cheaply done, no airconditioning. At night it got too hot in the room so we opened up the window and the door but that doesn't feel comfortable because the door opens up to a terrace which is shared by more rooms. So anybody can walk in but yeah you gotta sleep??.. In the morning we noticed old blood on the floor, not just a speck but a lot. It had been whiped / cleaned but not good enough! The reception was equally disgusted and that was the end of it..??!!

Hotel placed in a very lovely location but that's all it has! Firstly it's very expensive. Rooms are too small. Impossible to move inside that room for 2 person.. And when we complain about these problems they didn't help us and also they weren't kind.. Another big problem, to use the wi-fi you have to pay (that's ok) you can have for 12 hours or 24 hours! We've got for 24 hours internet, i remember very well the time was 22:00 when we paid! So it would have to work until the next day at the same time, right?? But no, the next day in the afternoon i couldn't connect to the internet!! Because it was writing at the time of payment is 17:00!!! So, we just thing about this hotel that, they don't deserve the money they ask from the guests!!!
