Cape Sounio - A Grecotel Resort to Live

Náš třetí návrat, poloviční cena přilákala i ostatní a tak byl hotel překvapivě plný i na konci října. Hotel je pořád bezchybný, nově upravená pláž a okolí bazénu. Snídaně velmi bohaté, večeři jsme letos nebrali. Mám oblíbené dvě taverny v okolí - Sysrtaki a Maridu. Večeříme raději dříve, jinak hotel určitě má i večerní bufet skvětý. Moře bylo krásně teplé i na konci října, 24 stupňů. V hotelu je krytý vyhřívaný bazén, nebyl třeba. Výhledy na Posseidonův chrám se neomrzí, 40 minut jízdy k jezeru Vouliagméni, spousta možností na pěší výlety v okolí, hotel leží na hranici národního parku Sounio.Bungalovy jsou krásně položeny a odhlučněny, dostatek suchých osušek na pláži i u bazénu, na pláži pořád dostatek lehátek. Dva dny dokonce nefoukalo, což je na Souniu neobvyklé. Velmi příjemný prodloužený víkend, letenky Praha-Atény za 3 tisíce, na příští květen už dokonce jsou v prodeji za 2500,-. Mám zase cukání na další prodloužený víkend.

You can tell they really care about the little details. Everything feels relaxed, authentic, and welcoming.The combination of the view, the service, and the live music turned an ordinary dinner into one of the highlights of my trip.

The moment we checked into the hotel an atmosphere of peaceful relaxation and seamless service was apparent. The lush Mediterranean landscaping is the star of the show and makes strolling through the grounds an experience in itself. Our temple view room was a dream to stay in and reading, relaxing and lounging at our own private pool elevated our stay. Despite being situated at the front of the resort closest to the beach there was absolutely no intrusion or noise from nearby activities, just the pleasing hum of cicadas and the gentle warm breeze. The complimentary taxi transfers to and from the hotel were welcome and we were very pleased to discover that our onward journey to Athens, not just the airport, was equally honoured - not always an inclusive service at other 5 star resorts. Breakfast operated like clockwork with a variety of fresh options overseen by friendly service and hardworking staff. The culinary highlight of our stay was the 'Full Moon menu' served in The Restaurant. The flavours were well executed and the Amberjack Tartare was my favourite. The range of restaurant options in the evening allow guests to dine at a variety of price points. We booked directly through the hotel with a 'Full Moon Package' which afforded us many complimentary perks. Our family also participated in the free complimentary activities on offer which really enhanced our stay - particularly the culinary resort walk and cooking class plus the evening Stargazing experience where we were able to view planets and the moon through telescopes. We also enjoyed the pool and the beach, but our children favoured the pool which was reminiscent of some Four Seasons resorts we have stayed in. The convenience of being a few minutes drive from the Temple of Poseidon allowed us to make the most of this special landmark and a member of our family enjoyed a daily morning run to and from the Temple. Any additional requirements we needed were met and staff responded quickly to our requests. All in all the resort delivered a relaxing break in a beautiful setting.

After staying at the Doli in Athens which was excellent. After 1 hour here we felt like checking out. The service is amateur hour standard lots of staff chatting with each other oblivious to the needs of their guests. The manager explained that they were busy sorting out problems. No Wonder!
