Overall, we had a positive stay at ZEUS Eretria Resort, although there are a few things worth knowing before booking. The hotel is large, clean and well maintained. The rooms are spacious, the bathrooms appear to have been recently renovated, and the balconies are very large. We stayed in rooms numbered above 2200 and had no major complaints about the standard. The rooms were cleaned every day. The staff were friendly and helpful, and we had no problems communicating in English. Even the security staff were able to explain clearly where to go and which way to avoid. One thing that definitely needs improvement is the organisation of late-night arrivals. We reached the hotel at around 3 a.m. and were given a hotel map. A member of staff drew a line showing us how to get to our room, but the resort is large, the area was completely unfamiliar to us, and there were not enough signs showing the direction of the different buildings or room numbers. There was also nobody available to escort us or help with the luggage. As a result, we had to carry our suitcases ourselves and search for the room in the dark. For a hotel presenting itself as a five-star resort, this is something that should be organised much better. This is not really a criticism of the night staff, but rather of the way arrivals are managed. A large proportion of the guests are French. There are activities and entertainment every day, but the animation team appears to be employed by a French tour operator, so most of the activities are conducted in French. If you do not speak French, you may not understand what is happening and you are also much less likely to be invited to join in. The hotel itself is very quiet. For some people this will be a major advantage, while for others it may be a disadvantage. There are no evening dances, no loud music and very little of the typical lively holiday atmosphere. There is usually Zumba around noon, which anyone can join. There are plenty of sun loungers around the pool and, fortunately, we did not see the usual early-morning rush to reserve them with towels. The swimming pool is large and the whole area is peaceful — sometimes perhaps even a little too peaceful. The beach is reached by following a path and crossing the road. On the other side you will find the hotel's beach area. The beach itself is a mixture of sand and small pebbles. The water is clean, although the beach is not particularly spectacular. The beach infrastructure, however, is very pleasant. There are small trees providing natural shade, so you can place your sunbed underneath them and relax without being in direct sunlight all day. There is also a bar, drinking water is available in many places, and there is self-service scoop ice cream. There is also an à la carte restaurant serving Greek cuisine. Cats walk freely around the hotel, as they often do in Greece. As cat lovers, we enjoyed this very much and bought dry food to feed them, together with the occasional little treat smuggled from our meals. :) One important point for people looking for entertainment outside the hotel: the resort is located more or less in the middle of nowhere. Eretria is around 6 km away. There are quite a few restaurants there, but only one or two souvenir shops. In the other direction, Amarynthos is approximately 4 km away and is said to have very good restaurants, especially for seafood. Unfortunately, our own experience there was not great. We chose a restaurant with a Google rating of around 4.6/5, but we were disappointed. The calamari tasted of old cooking oil and the octopus was very rubbery. We had a much better experience in Chalkida, around 40 minutes away by car. There are many restaurants there and we had some genuinely excellent food, including very fresh fish. If you want to spend an evening outside the hotel and enjoy a wider choice of restaurants, Chalkida is definitely worth considering. A practical tip regarding taxis: always ask and agree on the price before starting the journey. For a trip of around 5 km to Eretria we paid €13. On another occasion, we travelled around 4 km to Amarynthos and were charged €17 simply because we had not asked about the price beforehand. The difference was quite surprising, especially considering that the second journey was shorter. Agreeing on the fare in advance can prevent an unpleasant surprise at the end of the ride. If you are looking for excursions outside the hotel, the local options are rather limited. Many organised trips in the area are aimed at French-speaking tourists and are conducted in French. It is therefore worth checking the language and total price carefully before booking. To sum up, ZEUS Eretria Resort is a very good option for people looking for a peaceful holiday, a large swimming pool, comfortable and spacious rooms, friendly staff and a relaxing beach area. On the other hand, guests looking for nightlife, lively entertainment, easy walking access to shops and restaurants, or activities in languages other than French may find the location and atmosphere somewhat limiting. The biggest advantages are the cleanliness, spacious rooms, helpful staff, large swimming pool, plenty of sun loungers, peaceful atmosphere and pleasant beach facilities. The main areas that could be improved are the organisation of late-night arrivals, clearer signs around the resort, assistance with luggage, and a more inclusive entertainment programme for non-French-speaking guests.

A luxury experience in Evia! We had a wonderful time at this five-star hotel complex in Evia—a property near a stunning coastal area, offering access to a private beach as well as a stylish à la carte restaurant and a beach bar. The room was exceptionally comfortable, and breakfast was a truly delightful experience. All of this was complemented by incredibly friendly and welcoming service; it was a wonderful stay with a warm, inviting atmosphere—congratulations on ensuring such an unforgettable experience!

Great family holiday Travelled with our wider family group with 6 adults and children aged 4, 2 and 6 months old and the hotel was a high quality family focussed resort. Pools - warm in the June sunshine and perfect for the little. No issue getting sun loungers. We found the restaurants were all good with plenty of variety for breakfast, lunch and the dinnerl. We managed to book 2 times of the à la cartes as soon as we arrived - Greek and mediterranean options and all were great experiences. We were celebrating two birthdays on different days and were given birthday cakes and balloons. Good selection of wines and great service. The rooms were spacious, modern and clean.
