**Alexandros Palace – definitely not a 5-star standard** Unfortunately, after spending two weeks at Alexandros Palace, I am very disappointed. Although the hotel is advertised as 5-star, our experience was nowhere near this standard. Our “deluxe sea view” room had part of the sea view blocked by the roof of the lobby. The bathtub massage function did notwork, and when the bath was drained, the bathroom flooded and dirt came up through the drain. The kettle was extremely heavily scaled, there was dust and cobwebs, rubbish under the sofa from previous guests, and the mattress was badly worn and uncomfortable. The balcony light and a room bulb did not work despite being reported, and I had to clean bird droppings from the balcony myself. The biggest disappointment was the all-inclusive package. The hotel has four bars, but we discovered that two were not actually included: one was chargeable and the other offered only a 20% discount. One pool bar was also closed during our stay. This was very disappointing, especially as the hotel was sold to us as an all-inclusive 5-star holiday. The drinks were extremely strong and poorly prepared, and the bartenders clearly need better training in cocktail preparation. Bottled water was only provided when we arrived. Afterwards, we had to buy it or walk to another bar to refill a bottle. The food was repetitive and often cold. The snack bar was very basic, and the excursion lunch box was extremely poor. There was also conflicting information about restaurant opening times. One day I returned from an excursion at 1:55 pm and the restaurant was already closing, with very little food left. There were also some strange rules regarding food. Guests were allowed to take fruit with them, but we were not allowed to take a small piece of dry cake. It was difficult to understand the logic behind this. The beach is close, but there were many cigarette butts, broken tables and no designated non-smoking area. There were some genuinely helpful members of staff, but overall the service and facilities did not meet the standard I would expect from a 5-star hotel. After two weeks, I honestly believe the hotel is nowhere near 5 stars. Personally, I would rate it no more than 2 stars. If I had known the true standard of the hotel and the restrictions of the all-inclusive package before booking, I would definitely not have chosen it for the price we paid. **This was definitely not the 5-star standard we expected.**

Food is cold rooms are not that great the entertainment is not great for people who only Speek English its ment to be all inclusive but u have to pay for the drinks in the loby bar you have to sit outside in the cold weather to get a free drink

We stayed at Alexandros Palace Hotel & Suites as a family and were unfortunately very disappointed with the hotel's standard. The hotel is marketed as a 5-star property, but in our opinion, the overall experience was much closer to that of a 3-star hotel. During our stay, we experienced mould in several rooms, sewage odours, ants in the room, broken toilet seats, poor housekeeping, and a general lack of maintenance. In one of the rooms, there were also damaged electrical installations with exposed wiring, which we considered a serious safety hazard. The most concerning issue was the mould in our sons' room. As soon as we discovered it, we immediately reported it to the hotel. At the same time, we noticed that several neighbouring rooms had been closed off, and it appeared that the hotel was already aware of the problem. We also experienced hygiene issues in the restaurant, where bat droppings were repeatedly found on the dining tables. When we reported this, we were told that it was a common problem in Greece and that nothing could be done about it. No action was taken to address the situation. In addition, there were several safety and maintenance concerns around the pool area and water slides that we would not expect to find at a hotel in this category. The staff were generally friendly, but the hotel management did not seem interested in resolving the issues we raised. The surrounding area and the sea views are beautiful, but unfortunately this does not make up for the many shortcomings of the hotel itself. We will not be returning and, sadly, cannot recommend this hotel to families expecting the quality and standards normally associated with a 5-star property.

Management is so arrogant in solving problems that we have never experienced this anywhere, especially not in Greece. 5/10 days we collected water leaking from the ceiling and from the bathroom of the apartment above. Once or twice a day, they sent maintenance that "fixed the malfunction" by emptying the hand-made canister that is located in the plaster ceiling and is used to collect water. They offered us a worse room with a view of the pool, which is active and has a program until 11 pm, and we have a small child who sleeps from 8 pm. The management finally adjust to schedule a meeting with the hotel director the day before our return home, which we refused because our vacation was ruined and we didn't want to spend another minute in the hotel, nor to spend one euro more (they offered a 40% lower price in a worse room for two more days of stay). They looked for us in the room for two days, but we didn't even find any written message or anything, and then they found my phone number in the hotel data, as if by chance. All in all, a big disappointment with the treatment of guests and we think that the hotel is not worth the money it cost us. The only bright side of hotel is restaurant and food . People there and the menager of restaurant are amazing.

I liked that the resort felt lively without being noisy. There were activities available for anyone interested, but it was equally easy to find a quiet corner and enjoy the surroundings. It struck a balance that many hotels struggle to achieve.
