La Skala Vista

A little late as been back a couple of weeks but couldn’t miss an opportunity to say how great this place is. The rooms are modern , spacious, spotlessly clean and extremely comfortable with the latest in showers . There is a lovely pool area with very comfortable beds, and close access to the beach, tavernas and shops. The owners Monica and Kostas make you very welcome and have some of the best people working there. Lita on morning reception and the amazing fabulous Tony in the bar along with Maria in the afternoon as well as the very pleasant cleaners . I must make special mention to two of the most hardworking lovely young people I have ever met on holiday such commitment to serving and helping guests, Neri who runs the breakfast and bar in the mornings and Anastasia who does afternoon/evening reception worth their weight in gold. Cannot wait to come back next year.

I have been visiting Skala, Kefalonia for many years, and whenever I return, my first choice is always the La Skala Vista Hotel. After so many visits, it really does feel like a second home. The hotel is in a fantastic location, within easy walking distance of the beach, shops, tavernas, and everything Skala has to offer. The rooms are always spotlessly clean and well cared for, thanks to the wonderful housekeeping team, who work incredibly hard and are always cheerful and friendly. The owners, Kostas and Monica, are two of the warmest and most welcoming people you could ever hope to meet. They genuinely care about every guest and go out of their way to make your stay enjoyable. Their hospitality is one of the main reasons I keep coming back year after year. A special mention must also go to Antonis, the head barman. His customer service is exceptional, and he always greets everyone with a smile. Whether you're enjoying a morning coffee, a cold beer, or an evening cocktail, Antonis makes every visit to the bar a pleasure. The hotel has a lovely swimming pool where you can relax in the sunshine, with drinks and snacks available from the bar throughout the day. It's a perfect place to unwind after exploring the island or spending time on the beautiful beach. What makes La Skala Vista truly special isn't just the excellent accommodation or its perfect location—it's the people. Every member of staff works hard to make your holiday memorable, and they do it with genuine kindness and professionalism. I have recommended this hotel to friends and family, and I will continue to do so without hesitation. If you're looking for a friendly, immaculately maintained hotel with fantastic service and wonderful hosts, you won't be disappointed. Thank you, Kostas, Monica, Antonis, and all the fantastic staff for making every one of my holidays so enjoyable. I can't wait to return to my favourite place in Skala once again.

The male receptionist is a rude arrogant liar who spins you lies and forgets what he’s said. Overbooked hotel made us stay in one room for 2 nights, move downstairs for 1 night then move again for more nights. Not acceptable when we come in hotel to relax not back pack round his rooms. I should’ve lost my temper with him as he just kept going in as if it were our fault that he had overbooked. Will never stay here again and have moved to another establishment for the remainder of our holiday.

Just returned from a lovely fortnight at La Skala Vista, we have stayed there twice before but the improvement is massive. The rooms are spotless, spacious and tastefully furnished and designed with a lovely shower and quiet efficient aircon. The pool area is lovely although as beach people we only used it twice and all the staff were delightful. All in all I couldn’t fault it and look forward to returning

Kostas and Monika who are the new owners have done a phenomenal job of transforming this hotel! The rooms we haven't used, but they have all been completely gutted and specced out really well. Kostas is obsessed with 100% customer service and really cares that the guests that visit enjoy their stay. Everything needs to be great, from food to service and it shows. We visit on multiple occasions from our nearby villa for use of the pool and lunch/bar. The food and service is absolutely top notch. My favourite is the Greek Burger. Kostas makes his own Ciabatta from scratch and this level of commitment to the best is clearly reflected in all his food. Prices are fairly reflected. Tony is the regular barman in the afternoon, and he is super friendly and very good at what he does. The pool area is clean and spotless, very comfortable sunbeds.
