Nostimon Emar

Believe all the good things you read about Nostimon, it is fabulous. We stayed for 10 nights in mid July, & felt like we had the place to ourselves. The rooms are very clean, great amenities- fully equipped kitchen. Washing machine in a separate utility area also provided. Beach towels, safe provided. We loved it. Small pool to cool off. Eating my breakfast each morning with a virw if Zante is hard to beat. Terri is welcoming & very knowledgeable. The area is quiet, with some fantastic restaurants close by. La Mer probably our favourite. We wll be back 😀

This is our second visit to this lovely small family run hotel, and it was like returning to stay with an old friend. Terri who runs the hotel, greeted us with big smiles and , as last year, was so helpful and friendly. Rooms are clean, fresh towels every other day. Small kitchen with basic equipment as well as fridge, cooker, microwave, kettle etc. Terri organised a very competitive hire car for us, and even lent us a beach umbrella and chairs just incase . The breakfasts are lovely with everything from local Greek yogurt and honey, to scrambled or fried eggs and everything in between. The area itself is very peaceful with some of the best local restaurants we have been to, 5 to 10 minutes walk away, you must try the orange cake, it’s to die for, and the island as a whole is beautiful . Can’t wait to come back 💗

Stayed 7 nights here at the start of September. I can honestly say it was all incredible. The rooms were very clean and spacious with air conditioning both downstairs and upstairs. Safe was provided as well as beach/pool towels, free of charge. The pool area and grounds are beautiful and very well kept. Location is perfect, lovely restaurants and shops within walking distance. We did get a taxi down to the beach each day due to the hills which was only 10 euro each way. Terri was amazing, nothing was too much trouble and it honestly felt like staying with family. We got engaged here, which makes it even more special, but everything about our stay was perfect. We will be back! If you’re thinking about booking, do it - you won’t be disappointed!

We had a lovely time in this absolute gem of a small villa complex. Just 6 two storey apartments with well equipped kitchen, double bedroom and double sofa bed in the kitchen/living room. The gardens and pool area were beautifully maintained and the views across the bay towards Zakynthos were stunning. Toni was the perfect host. Very kind and helpful. It truly felt like home after 10 days. Our only small observation was that our double bed was very/too firm, so perhaps a softer mattress topper for each room would be good. There was one, but the kids needed it for their bed as the mattress was a little thin.

We stayed at Nostimon Emar for a few nights with my partner, and we booked the cottage with the jacuzzi. It’s worth noting that the cottage isn’t located at the main accommodation but is about 300m up the hill, so do take that into consideration when booking. The cottage itself was absolutely immaculate – well stocked and had all the necessary facilities we could need. The only downside was that we both felt the jacuzzi was a bit dirty and probably needed a bit more love and attention. The main accommodation has a lovely pool with stunning views overlooking the town and the bay. It’s really well located too, with restaurants and shops all within a 10-minute walk, and the beach just 10 minutes away by taxi or car. Terry, the host and owner, is fantastic. She always goes out of her way to help and give advice, but don’t be alarmed or offended if she’s a bit blunt and straight with you – that’s just her personality! She provides a simple breakfast for €8pp which is more than ample and a shower room is available, should you have a late fight and need to wash up before heading to the airport. Overall, it was a fantastic stay and we would definitely recommend Nostimon Emar as accommodation in Kefalonia. Thanks again, Terry!
