Tetra Resort & Spa

The hotel itself is beautifully and peacefully located and makes a very good first impression. Unfortunately, our stay was affected by several incidents that we found very unprofessional for a 5-star hotel. Upon arrival, we were told that we were not registered as guests and that the hotel did not work with Aurum Tours, even though our trip had already been paid for in full. At one point, it was even suggested that we might have to pay for the entire stay again. Only after **we contacted Aurum Tours ourselves** was the issue finally resolved after a lengthy discussion with the hotel manager. In a 5-star hotel, we would have expected management to take the initiative, contact the tour operator directly and resolve the issue for the guests, rather than leaving us to sort it out ourselves. A few days later, we were approached again and asked why we had not checked out, even though our actual departure date was still several days away. Fortunately, this misunderstanding was resolved more quickly. The most serious incident for us, however, concerned our privacy. Despite the **“Do Not Disturb”** sign and my wife clearly saying that nobody should enter, two male staff members came into our room. My wife had just stepped out of the shower and was only wearing a towel, while I was in the bathroom. The employees walked through our room to the terrace to bring in cushions that were already completely soaked by the rain, and then left them inside the room. For us, this was completely unacceptable. A “Do Not Disturb” sign and a clear request not to enter should be respected. We were also surprised by the general condition of the hotel. It only opened in mid-July, and we stayed there at the end of September. Despite this, pool cushions, menus and parts of our room already looked noticeably stained, dirty or poorly maintained. Used plates were also not always cleared away promptly. We have stayed in several 5-star hotels before, including in Greece, so we do have a basis for comparison. The hotel itself is attractive and quiet, but in our opinion the organisation, management and treatment of guests currently do not meet the standard we associate with a 5-star property. We do not normally leave such negative reviews, but the number and seriousness of these incidents were unusual enough that we felt future guests should be aware of them. **We would not stay at this hotel again.**

Well what can I say but pure excellence, luxury and 💯 great customer care. Huge thank you to Nikos, Tasos, and Natalie- your 5 star care to me and Niel went above and beyond ❤️. To our room well it was beyond superb, the swim up pool, and we really ever wanted so it’s a big thank you for our fab room coordinator dinesh - you rock!!!! I would highly recommend you need transportation as it’s quite remote but also hugely accessible if you live a good walk to the beach or restaurant x On the whole the breakfast, lunch and dinner we experienced was 10/10. A totally relaxing, luxurious & peaceful retreat. Expansive ocean views from a private pool, perfectly designed for star gazing, sunset & spotting boats on the horizon. Beautifully designed spacious rooms perfect for lounging & steps from the equally lovely main pool & great restaurant. Staff so professional, warm, helpful & friendly. Rumour has it a celebrity guest was in our midst. Despite our best nosey efforts, the staff would not disclose who. No surprise they would choose this resort. An idyllic beach & cliff edge taverna is a short walk away. As is an Alice in Wonderland inspired cafe. Like the rest of Kefalonia, just gorgeous🧡

Our stay at Tetra Kefalonia was exceptional from beginning to end. It is not the most expensive hotel on the island, but it offers outstanding value for money. The rooms with private pools and sea views are beautifully designed, tastefully furnished, and the perfect size. They were cleaned every day, with fresh towels provided for both the pool and the shower. The hotel itself is elegant, peaceful, and run by genuinely warm and welcoming staff. We were greeted personally by the hotel manager on arrival, who congratulated me on my recent achievement, which was the reason for our trip. It created an excellent first impression. He checked in with us every day to make sure everything was exactly as we needed, and we were delighted to find that we had been upgraded to a room with a much better view. The rest of the team were just as attentive. When we enquired about hiring a car, the receptionist returned with several options and helpful local advice. She even made all the arrangements for us. I would highly recommend hiring a car during your stay, as we completed a full lap of the island and it was one of the highlights of our visit. Although the hotel had some ongoing building work, it was completely out of the way and caused no disturbance at all. We only knew about it because the manager mentioned it. The atmosphere remained quiet, calm, and incredibly relaxing throughout our stay. The main pool area was stylish, comfortable, and a lovely place to unwind during the day. Overall, this was a five‑star stay in every respect. Excellent service, beautiful rooms, and a truly memorable experience. I would recommend Tetra Kefalonia without hesitation.

Hotel itself was very pleasant and super quiet. Rooms very tidy and modern, staff very friendly and excellent housekeeping. A huge huge disappointment was food with very poor or rather non existent breakfast. Hopefully this would be sorted next year as really not worth the money otherwise. Local beach was beautiful and 20 min walk or so. Sea salt restaurant was best kept secret and definitely saved our stay.
