    Vyjímečný

Our stay at Tetra Kefalonia was exceptional from beginning to end. It is not the most expensive hotel on the island, but it offers outstanding value for money. The rooms with private pools and sea views are beautifully designed, tastefully furnished, and the perfect size. They were cleaned every day, with fresh towels provided for both the pool and the shower. The hotel itself is elegant, peaceful, and run by genuinely warm and welcoming staff. We were greeted personally by the hotel manager on arrival, who congratulated me on my recent achievement, which was the reason for our trip. It created an excellent first impression. He checked in with us every day to make sure everything was exactly as we needed, and we were delighted to find that we had been upgraded to a room with a much better view. The rest of the team were just as attentive. When we enquired about hiring a car, the receptionist returned with several options and helpful local advice. She even made all the arrangements for us. I would highly recommend hiring a car during your stay, as we completed a full lap of the island and it was one of the highlights of our visit. Although the hotel had some ongoing building work, it was completely out of the way and caused no disturbance at all. We only knew about it because the manager mentioned it. The atmosphere remained quiet, calm, and incredibly relaxing throughout our stay. The main pool area was stylish, comfortable, and a lovely place to unwind during the day. Overall, this was a five‑star stay in every respect. Excellent service, beautiful rooms, and a truly memorable experience. I would recommend Tetra Kefalonia without hesitation.

Hotel itself was very pleasant and super quiet. Rooms very tidy and modern, staff very friendly and excellent housekeeping. A huge huge disappointment was food with very poor or rather non existent breakfast. Hopefully this would be sorted next year as really not worth the money otherwise. Local beach was beautiful and 20 min walk or so. Sea salt restaurant was best kept secret and definitely saved our stay.

    Velmi dobrý

We had been a little dubious about our booking at Tetra as it wasn’t 100% clear that the hotel was finished and we arrived expecting to see some building work if not actually happening then scaffolding and building material scattered around. Thankfully there was none of this. Yes, there is clearly some work ongoing there as only 50% of the rooms are open yet but that was not intrusive on the holiday and was no different to seeing room maintenance at other properties. The staff, while there are only a few of them are friendly; from the reception to the bar staff to the cleaner and were always able to help. You do get a feeling however that this is very much a ‘soft opening’ with some training ongoing, we even came back from breakfast one day to our room to find the cleaner in there with two other staff members having a meeting of some kind in our outdoor pool area! The grounds are immaculate with a lovely 20m long pool and nice facilities. One thing lacking would be comfy chairs/sofas that you could lounge around in as all the seating was quite stiff and formal (apart from the amazing sun loungers). We did pop down to the Gym/Spa to have a look. The gym is reasonably equipped but the spa did seem to be lacking some personality, and it wasn’t clear that it was fully open. Most days we pretty much had the pool to ourselves which give the place a bit of eerie feeling. This is not the place to go if you like pool parties that’s for sure. There was a small bar serving a selection of drinks and cocktails but we hardly saw anyone there despite the costs being reasonable (€6 for a pint of mythos, €15 or a cocktail); I put this down to the fact that there was nowhere on site to eat after 7pm (they did snacks during the day) meaning that people had to stay sober for driving later. The lack of evening meal at the hotel was disappoint particularly as it quite remote from other restaurants so you pretty much either have to drive or take a 20-30min walk through the farmlands at night. If you want to dine nearby certainly check out Esperides Restaurant and Fois (which has Greek music nights on Saturday and Wednesday). There is also a fish taverna a short walk away at the top of nearby Ammes beach. We also had a walk to Saris Winery (25mins) where we did the 6pm wine tasting which was a little disappointing but at their restaurant (Avithos Preview) above Avithos beach (which we preferred to Ammes). Breakfast at the hotel was somewhat hit and miss. Normally from this style of hotel and its price we would expect a buffet breakfast where you can choose what you would like and maybe have two of one thing and nothing of another and also you are not dictated by the speed of the waiting staff (with only 4 couple for breakfast we took just over an hour to have a basket of breadsticks, coffee, and hot breakfast). The food itself was lovely – it would just have been better to have more choice and thereby less waste (food and time!) The room itself was very well designed and kept immaculate by the cleaner, but it did have a few minor issues such as loose parts on the shower and robe hangers that were a bit loose. We had book a room with a private pool as he have at previous hotels and this also had a large double sun lounder which only reclined flat so the way round this was to move it to a wall and use the pillows. The pool itself was not 100% private as we have had with others and could maybe use some wooden slats between each pool to improve this. Room was also equipped with a Fridge, Kettle, Coffee machine and Robes and slippers. Beach towels were changed every day.
