White Rocks

The White Rocks Hotel is absolutely beautiful. The grounds and scenery are magnificent. It has a wonderful and relaxed atmosphere. Our only negative (hence the' very good' rather than 'excellent' rating) was that we'd booked a bungalow and the one we were given was too far from the main building. Both my husband and I have arthritis and found it difficult to negotiate the slopes and stairs in the grounds on trying to reach the bungalow and going back and forth to the main building. The staff were excellent and so kind and helpful and 2 days after arrival managed to move us to a bungalow nearer the main building. Unfortunately, my husband had a fall coming out the pool toilets, but the staff provided excellent and immediate first aid and gave us lifts from the bungalow to the building until we were able to walk to it once we moved to the nearer bungalow. There is also a very steep slope to the pool area, but it can be negotiated with care (and is well worth it). The cleanliness was perfect throughout. The noise level was fine, nothing strident, everything peaceful. The service was outstanding. The staff went out of their way to make us feel welcome, appreciated and cared for. We had half-board and found the food was varied and of high quality and the atmosphere in the restaurant was extremely pleasant. The breakfast omelettes made to your taste while you wait were a definite win. We would love to return despite the 'mishaps' we had due to the steep slopes and stairs/steps on this last trip, but it would be staying at the main building next time. We would then enjoy the grounds at our leisure (and carefully!). THANK YOU TO ALL THE STAFF - you are all very special and made our stay a delightful experience.

My daughter and I had an amazing week at White Rocks. I had a third floor sea view room in the main building and my daughter had a Sea view bungalow. Both were were fantastic with with great facilities and wonderful views. The staff at the hotel were so lovely and helpful. We chose half board and couldn't fault the food. We'd go back in a heartbeat. It was a truly special experience.

Great hotel 10 minute transfer from the airport. Not the hotel for you if you have mobility issues. It’s called white rocks for a reason - it’s built into the rocks with numerous steps. Checkin - fantastic very quick and in our room within 10 mins and out on to beach just after midday Beach - public beach was fantastic with golden sands and clear blue sea. Sun beds were €20 for two. Beach bar on beach for simple snacks and drinks. Changing rooms and showers. Private beach no charge for sun beds however no beach but a rocky walk into the sea. Towels from reception so leave yours at home. Pool - didn't use it as beach person but walked up there and even at midday there were sun beds available Room - we had a sea view on second floor and it was fantastic. Cleaned every day and toiletries topped up. Safe, hairdryer, bath/shower, TV, kettle, tea, coffee and a fridge. Plenty of storage and coat hangers. 2 small bottles of water replaced every day Restaurant - breakfast was superb, plenty of choice from continental or cooked. Tea and plenty of options for coffee. Dinner was just as good with quality food and plenty of choice. Drinks were expensive and bottle of water €3. (Supermarket €3.5 for 6 bottles) The young staff members in there were a credit to the hotel. Location - 5 minute walk to Lassi with plenty of great restaurants to choose from and 3-4 supermarkets. 45 minute walk or 5 minute taxi to the capital of the island Argostoli. Sundays is very quiet and many shops are shut. Summary - great hotel, staff are fantastic and a credit to this hotel.

Lovely hotel. Great location overlooking some beautiful coast line. Stunning sun sets and sitting amongst the pine trees overlooking the turquoise sea was heavenly. Overall spotlessly clean. Lovely comfy sun beds and bean bag loungers. Had sea view bungalow. Kept us fit walking to the far side! Our bungalow didn't get robes or slippers provided or body lotion replaced after use. No tissues and no smart tv, just standard news channels. No espresso machine, just sachets of nescafe. Food options were superb. Very tasty and always fresh. Restaurant staff were always miserable and looked like it was their first day of service. Very sloppy and timid service for this kind of hotel. Unfortunately also the worst coffee in this hotel. Also no water in restaurant provided free at dinner. A water station would have been nice at this level. The Lungomare Restaurant staff were exemplary. Food and drinks quite expensive if you are on a certain budget. Lassi, the closest town was a no-go for us. Nothing looked appealing there. Argostili is worth visiting and the KCG tour to Fiskado/Assos is a must. Overall a lovely hotel, but was disappointed that some of the "basics" were missing at this price point

Beautiful hotel with extremely friendly staff and in a stunning setting. Very comfortable rooms although strangely, lacks anywhere to hang wet bath towels-had to hang them over cupboard doors or outside on balcony. Marina in the downstairs bar made us feel exceptionally welcome and brought a table indoors and supplied blankets for us during a cool evening. Aristotle’s by the pool, was extremely friendly and his English was fantastic. In fact, all of the staff were exceptionally friendly and welcoming. We loved the beanbag sun buds by the pool and this was a great time of year to go as there were always some beds available and it was lovely and quiet. Easy walk into Lassi for bars and restaurants and about 45 minutes walk to Argostoli where there are many bars and restaurants, plus good shopping. Cheap €8 take ride back to hotel too. Very easy to arrange car hire through the hotel. Ace car hire were extremely helpful with suggestions and advice on where to go on the island. The hotel beach is small and rather rocky, so we would recommend rubber shoes. It is just as easy to access the public beach through the hotel security door at the side of the hotel. This beach is wider, much easier to access the water and sunbeds are available for hire if you wish. Again, as we went late September, the beach was never busy and just as easy to access from our room as the hotel beach. We also went to a beautiful quiet beach near Sami which again, had extremely comfortable sunbeds that were free as long as you had a drink or something to eat. Overall we would highly recommend the hotel which is in a beautiful setting with amazing sunsets. The only minor complaint was that the young restaurant staff were rather slow to clear our tables which surprised us, as there usually seemed to be a manager keeping a close eye on the situation . That said, the buffet offered plenty of choice and the catering team were helpful and very friendly. We are not big drinkers and generally only had a beer each or a glass of wine with our supper, but the bar bill at the end was pretty high, so perhaps walk into one of the supermarkets in Lassi and purchase some alcohol to take back to your room if you prefer to drink more than one or two glasses a night.We would highly recommend this hotel for its style, location and wonderful staff. We booked through Jet2 and had a lovely stay at White Rocks. Go and enjoy it.
