First things first: Angsana is a lovely hotel in a beautiful setting and the staff were fantastic during our week long stay (family of four with 2 children). We enjoyed the restaurants and cannot fault the service. You definitely feel as if you are in a 5* location and there is a luxurious feel to the whole establishment. Unfortunately a few aspects meant that I would not stay here again Firstly, the pool and sunbed area is insufficient given the size of the hotel and number of guests. It is a nice area with large double 4 poster sunbeds and single ones dotted around the pool but the number available is not enough such that if you arrive any time after around 10am you will struggle to find a free space. It is the kind of space that would suit a much smaller boutique hotel. There is a private beach nearby which you need to take a shuttle to as it is at the bottom of an extremely steep hill. The shuttle ran every 30mins during our stay but as the bus was so small (around 8 seats I think) there were always more people queuing that seats available. The drivers were great and always made return trips to pick up anyone left behind but I think the simpler solution would be to get a larger bus...? The incredible steepness of the hill is actually an issue in itself. Walking up and down it to get to and from the hotel without the shuttle (or a car) would not be an option if you had small children or any kind of difficulty with walking so something to bear in mind. The private beach is nice but very small and not particularly sandy. Again, you might struggle to get a sunbed if you arrive late morning. We visited in May when it wasn't too busy so always managed to find spaces but I struggle to believe this would be the case during the busy July/August period. Our room was lovely but we paid extra for a suite overlooking the sea which I thought would be a quiet space. Instead our room overlooked the very busy and noisy bars and restaurants and so didn't feel worth the extra expenditure. This meant we couldn't keep our balcony doors open as the noise was just too much. I'd also suggest the hotel thinks about how it manages events and large parties. During our stay there was a hen party group of about a dozen women. I have no issue with the group itself but on one occasion we went to the beach and discovered a entire set of sunbeds had been set aside for them. No other guests were permitted to use them even though the group had not arrived yet (and didn't until early afternoon). I honestly thought this was really poor practice on behalf of the hotel. We, along with other paying guests, were shunted to the far point of the beach in order to make way for this group who were given reserved beds. Unacceptable. There was also a wedding during our stay and while I would never begrudge wedding celebrations, the hotel could think about improving the sound proofing in the rooftop bar where receptions take place. The music and noise kept us up until the early hours. I assume there were complaints as the following morning a member of staff proactively asked us if we were inconvenienced by the noise and apologized. As stated at the beginning, this really is a nice hotel but we won't visit again as I don't think it works as a family hotel BUT could be a nice option if you are a couple looking for a luxurious getaway (or planning a wedding/hen!)
I am currently staying at the Angsana. The whole experience has been truly wonderful. Probably the best hotel swimming pool with stunning views. The staff are very attentive and helpful. A special mention to Olga and Nikos who have gone above and beyond while we have been here in making our stay very enjoyable. Thank-you all! Jason Kaufman
We had a fantastic stay at Angsana Corfu, and the whole family absolutely loved it. The hotel was beautiful, the restaurants were excellent, and every member of staff we met was incredibly friendly and helpful. A special thank you to Katerina, our concierge, who took care of all our bookings and boat trips and made everything feel completely effortless. She was always available, thoughtful, and genuinely made our stay smoother and much more enjoyable. We had a wonderful time and would happily come back!
We had a truly wonderful stay at Angsana Corfu, and it ended up being one of the highlights of our trip. From the moment we arrived, we felt very well taken care of. The resort itself is beautiful, with stunning views, a relaxing atmosphere, and everything you would expect from a luxury property. We loved spending time at the resort, but we also fell in love with Corfu itself, the island is beautiful, and the warmth and kindness of the people made our experience even more memorable. What really stood out to us, however, was the service. Everyone we encountered at Angsana was welcoming, professional, and genuinely kind. There was a sense that the team truly cared about making sure guests were comfortable and enjoying their stay, and that made a big difference. We would especially like to thank Katerina, who was absolutely wonderful throughout our stay. She was always there whenever we needed anything, incredibly helpful, attentive, and warm, and she made us feel very well looked after. Having someone you know you can turn to at any time adds so much to a hotel experience, and we really appreciated everything she did for us. Our family had such a lovely time at Angsana. It gave us exactly what we were hoping for from our time in Corfu: beautiful surroundings, relaxation, excellent hospitality, and genuinely lovely people. We left with very fond memories of both Angsana and Corfu, and we would happily return. A huge thank you to the entire team for making our stay so special, and a very special thank you again to Katerina.
The stunning views drew us to Angsana and they did not disappoint! From the pool, to the restaurants, to the room (we booked an Ionian Sea View Junior Suite), I’m not sure I’ve ever experienced a more beautiful view at a hotel. Other highlights included a spacious room, the spa, and the fabulous kids club. My husband and I unexpectedly had hours of relaxing time on our own each day because our daughter could not get enough of the kids club! Maria, Nina, and Eva were warm and inviting and so much fun, and our daughter loved all of the activities they so thoughtfully arranged (art projects, treasure hunts, sand play, movie nights, etc.). Five stars! The only reason I give Angsana an overall four stars is because the sheer size of the property makes it difficult to offer a five star experience. For example, finding a sunbed at the pool was not easy and service at the restaurants was lacking at times (we had one experience where we waited 20 mins for a server to approach our table and 40 mins for drinks). For a large resort experience, Angsana was lovely and I would return for the views and kids club alone!
