We were pleasantly surprised by how much of a great holiday we had at Aegean Bay Hotel. It was our first all inclusive holiday and didn’t disappoint. The room was cleaned every day, with fresh towels and felt very modern. The pool facilities were fantastic and the food exceeded expectations. We want to make a special note to thank Elizabete for making the entertainment side of our holiday super. Her enthusiasm and friendliness was unbeatable and we looked forward to morning stretching and aqua aerobics everyday. She deserves complete recognition for her hard work. If we were to return, it would be with yoga and aqua aerobics in mind! Natasha and Callum :)

Great hotel with lovely staff who are all friendly and helpful. The rooms were clean and comfortable the only problem we had was we found the shower very slippy but when we asked for shower mats they were provided straight away. The problem people have been having with sun beds has been resolved and we had no problems for the two weeks we were there . The food is very good and George and his staff are really good with a special mention for Irene who made us smile everyday. All in all a lovely holiday thank you

2*/3* not 4*. My review is going to be very different from my husbands who was looking for flights home the night we got there. We arrived late in the evening and on arrival I thought the hotel looked quite nice. We were given a map (see photo) and told to go to block 'D', we were roaming around in the dark all over before we found it. Then we could find no lift (there wasnt one) and had to drag our cases up 3 flights of stairs, avoiding the cleaning trolleys which were on every landing. The room had a key and was very difficult to open. We were greeted by a very 'grotty' room. There was a rail next to the door with just 5 coat hangers. There was one shelf about 3 foot below the rail which meant my dresses crumpled onto the shelf. There were no drawers or other shelves. The safe was locked? We had to get a master key to unlock it. There were 2 single rock hard beds and a wood shelf thing with a tv over, no mirror?? The tv did not work, it was like the aerial had not been plugged in? My husband also found a mystery'bug' in his bed. I stayed in a 2* in earlier in the year and the room was on a par with that, no way was it a 4*. In hindsight we should have gone back to reception and changed rooms but it was late and we were tired. The bathroom was fairly decent, as was the balcony which looked out onto some fountains. The pool areas were OK as was the reception area. The restaurant was far too small for the amount of people it was catering for. The food was OK, and the pizza, pitta breads and omelettes made by the guy in the corner were delicious. What needs to be stopped is people who load plates up with food, put it in the middle of their table, then leave it? Chips, bread rolls, water melon, etc. There were empty trays just after 7pm because of this. The drinks were horrible except the lager which was passable. My husband only drinks baileys or Malibu and both of these were not included on all inclusive. We went to the beach bars and neighbouring hotels for drinks most nights. There was some greek dancers which were very good and some belly dancers which were good at first, but got boring after a while. Apart from that there wasn't much else in the way of entertainment. I know the hotel can't do anything about this, but just about everyone smoked which was unpleasant and meant we had to keep moving. We went out most days, Kos town is lovely, as is Marmari beach, although there isn't much to do in Marmari. I think this hotel could be made a solid 4* with a few minor tweaks. Tui should only be listing this as a 3*, then it avoids disappointment. The rooms need upgrading with better beds and storage, the grounds need tlc and the overall cleanliness needs working on too. The restaurant and entertainment area needs extending, and the drink quality improving. Overall, I think the hotel was OK, not terrible. I would consider coming back if these issues were resolved.
