A truly wonderful place and experience. From the moment we arrived we were made to feel so welcome and special. All the staff are wonderful - friendly, happy, super professional and nothing is too much trouble. The hotel is immaculate thanks to the brilliant cleaning and maintenance team. The facilities are superb - from the bedrooms and spa area to the stunning pool (the pictures don’t do it justice). The food is delicious with fantastic breakfast choices - all freshly prepared with top quality ingredients. We also had an excellent evening meal - so praise must go to the chefs. I had a massage, which was superb and we both attended a number of the yoga, Pilates and meditation sessions - all of which were first class. One of the best hotels we’ve ever stayed at - definitely five star, but with a beautiful calm, relaxed and friendly atmosphere. Thank you 🙏
We had a wonderful stay at Ritual Hotel Kos and felt comfortable from the very first moment. The location is beautiful, the atmosphere very relaxing, and the whole team was incredibly attentive and friendly throughout our stay. We especially loved the yoga and Pilates classes with Aiki, which made the experience even more enjoyable. A special thank you to Aris for his amazing massage - very professional, relaxing, and truly one of the highlights of our trip. We would definitely recommend this hotel and would love to come back!
We enjoyed our stay at The Ritual. The accommodation was very well maintained and clean, and it radiated a sense of calm and relaxation. The sauna facilities were a major highlight. The staff was extremely friendly and flexible in adapting our stay to our needs. The cocktails were also very tasty. We also booked a massage with Aristeidis and thoroughly enjoyed the experience. He made us feel very comfortable and performed the massage with great care and respect. Thank you for the wonderful time!
We have just checked out of this amazing hotel - great facilities and very relaxing. As others have said the staff were so friendly and accommodating, special mention to Konstantina who was great and also Ben in the bar and also Olga on reception - so friendly but extremely welcoming without being over the top. If your looking for an experience with no kids and piece and quiet I throughly recommend. We will be back next year !
Staff - All were AMAZING ! All were friendly, professional, caring and eager to ensure our stay was as perfect as possible. There was no exception in the whole team but special mention to Olga (serving staff manager) , Ben (bar manager) Christiana (think this was her name but she was on reception/ concierge - so lovely with a smile that lit up the room) I did not get all their names sadly as we were too busy relaxing, but they were ALL amazing and really worked well as a holistic team. General Facilities - very aesthetic all round with beautiful swimming pool and gardens, steam room, sauna. lovely gym, yoga pavilion and treatment room. (Had a lovely facial treatment with a sweet man whose name I didn’t pick up on - sorry!) Food - never a bad meal - all served hot, fresh and beautifully presented and all wonderful healthy options.. Drinks - great choice and Ben made fantastic cocktails along with lovely chats (hes a really bright intelligent guy as well as an expert mixologist) Rooms - comfortable beds and good showers. Location - very good. Ten to thirty minutes walk to great restaurants, shops and bars as well as the beach and Kos Old Town. All in all we had a lovely very relaxing five nights break , leaving dull October in the UK far behind. There were a few tiny negative aspects but none of them spoilt our holiday in any way. Feel its important to mention them as to some people it might be important. 1 The pool, although a stunningly beautiful design, was totally unheated. Once you got over the shock of getting in, on one day when it was hotter I did warm up a bit but ( I swim a lot at home ) but another day when it wasnt totally sunny I was at full throttle for 20 minutes and was still feeling shivery in the water. The sea was much warmer in comparison.. Maybe in the hotter summer months its lovely to get into to cool off, but maybe a little blast of heating up once Kos is cooling down might make it more user friendly. Most of the time we were there there was no one using the pool, largely I believe because it was so cold. 2. There are no indoor public areas as the resort as its made up of individual pavilion type structures with no sides. These were housing reception, restaurant, breakfast room etc . Very beautiful to look at, but not so good to sit in when it rained as the water blew in making chairs and us etc wet. So with no shared spaces to sit in inclement weather (like the large lobbies that most five star hotels have) This is maybe a personal thing but when away, we do enjoy sitting in comfortable public areas from time to time when we want to get inside to read, get a drink and even people watch. When it rained the only place we could really stay dry in was in our bedroom. 3. Bedrooms whilst OK were very small for a five star hotel and not very well lit. (Or maybe that was just the room we were in as don’t remember the sun being on our patio at any time of the day. Also, no English language channel. ( or at least we could not find one) In fairness not so much of a big problem as we dont watch much TV at the best of times, but we usually stay in 5 star hotels and have come to expect at the least a news channel we can have a quick peek at.This was surprising as there seemed to be a lot of guests from UK when we were there so imagine theres a demand for it. 4. Our room was directly next to (joined to) the kitchen. Some nearby guests had mentioned a bit of noise (this cant be helped in a restaurant kitchen) surprisingly we did not personally hear any significant noise. However, outside the front of our bedroom was a direct route for the serving staff to fetch and carry food being delivered from the front of theckitchen to the breakfast and restaurant pavilions, and outside the patio at the back for kitchen staff to fetch and carry things to and from the back of the kitchen. So there was a lot of “cross traffic” when leaving or entering our room. Also on the odd occasion we sat on our ground floor patio there was usually someone cutting across the grass, back and forward from the kitchen so not so good for privacy and relaxation. ( although we did not really spend much time in the room) I think if we’d had a room on the other side of the building away from the kitchen it would have been fine. Tip - ask for a room at the side of the accommodation block where there is a good view and there would have been more natural light (mountains - very spectacular) The situation of the kitchen was also not good as when it rained the staff were having to try to move very quickly from kitchen to serving area in the pouring rain on very slippery wet surfaces with one holding an umbrella over the plates of food the other server was carrying. Full credit to them though as they all did this with big smiles on their faces, even when one waiter very nearly fell flat on his back holding a number of items of crockery. Overall, this place is very beautiful and unique but none of the previous reviews have picked up on the design faults which might somewhat take the edge of what could be as near to perfection as one could get.The negative comments I have made surround the impractical design of the facilities but take nothing away from the fantastic team working so hard to make all guests feel very cosseted and privileged to be there. Also, to be totally fair, this is a seasonal resort so closed when the weather is at its worse during autumn and winter. Therefore some of the points mentioned above might not be much of an issue during summer months. And of course, this is all just our personal opinion as what matters to one person is of no concern to another. We did have a lovely time - largely due to the staff. . Maybe the hotel chain that owns this resort might be able to consider moving the kitchen away from guest rooms and nearer to the serving areas. That would be a start. All in all a lovely relaxing break in any case
