Almyrida Village & Waterpark

A special thank you to Kiki! ❤️ Honestly, she made everything so much easier for us. Always smiling, always kind, always ready to help — no matter what we needed (and trust me, we gave her plenty of opportunities to prove it! 😂). She genuinely took care of us throughout our stay, always checking that everything was okay and making sure we had everything we needed. But what we appreciated most was her personality: friendly, funny, warm and incredibly easy to talk to. After a while, we basically stopped thinking of her as someone working at the resort and started thinking of her as our personal guardian angel… just one with a better sense of humour! 😂 Kiki, thank you for your patience, your kindness and for putting up with us! You made our stay even more special. We’ll definitely miss you! ❤️

Fawlty towers. This hotel is just as bad as the tv sitcom. Where do I start very dated scruffy hotel where the staff are very unhelpful. Bedding in the room smelled vile. The shower only provided 30 seconds of hot water at a time. We were left without any water for two days. Pool bar with no staff. Breakfast juice so sugary it could give you diabetes. Avoid at all costs

First things first it’s a budget hotel , understaffed and run by a budget management team , Not over friendly and quite rude , Breakfast adequate but if you’re a vegetarian nothing is labelled, short supply of glasses and cups and a miss match of crockery. Our bath towels were hung out over balcony from our morning shower to dry , whilst we were out a storm soaked our towels, when asked if we could have some dry ones the reception replied house keeping have gone . Hmm not the answer I was looking for. As I said in the beginning it’s a budget hotel but please try to make your guests an enjoyable one no matter the cost .

Just crept into 4/5 with 2 big caveats: book B&B only (there are so many excellent restaurants in Almyrida) & I paid for an upgraded room - chose a renovated room with sea views. You do need a decent level of walking ability as it's 7-8 mins to/from Almyrida beach, uphill & then if, like me, your room is at the back of the site on the top floor it's quite a lot in the heat! Worth it for views. Whoever decided on the name change should be sacked... what a disappointment to people expecting a waterpark for their kids. It's a nice large pool, with 1 kid's slide & 2 baby's slides. Housekeeping acceptable, staff mostly pleasant, Breakfast acceptable, although I would prefer to pay a couple of Euros more for seasonal fruit, a better choice of bread, some proper juice, local yoghurt etc. Almyrida always a wonderful place to stay, a decent bus service into Chania & a super family-friendly beach.

The hotel is set in beautiful gardens with a great view of the sea and town below. The swimming pool is large with two very small slides. The room was ok.i paid for economy room. Maria at the bar worked endlessly and always a smile. We went half board there was always something we liked not a large choice but what they was nice.Also a salad bar/ fruit and sweet. But the management for the table service was arrogant. at one point mimicking sarcastically at my husband She ignored us after that.no knives or glass we keep on asking for drinks no drinks. They were a lot of people very unhappy with the situation in the dining room. Tip People with walking disabilities and family's with push chairs . Beware of the steep hill for the road. And also no lifts.
