Our second visit to this wonderful place, I’m not sure I have the words to explain how nice this establishment is, how wonderfully serene, how amazing the staff are, the welcome we always receive … It’s truly our happy place, realised this time round on our return trip. Roule, George, Antonis and Sergio are fantastic members of staff who can’t do enough to make the stay amazing. A shout out also to Katerinq who went above and beyond to make our stay wonderful. After travelling through out Greece for many years., Asterion suites and spa is simply the best place I’ve ever stayed at. ❤️ Often hotels are given a 5 star review, they often fall well short of these promises 😩 This one definitely deserves 5+ stars On every element of the hotel , food, drink and service, they delivered well above expectations. On arrival, do not be put off by your impression of the front of the hotel, it’s on an extremely quiet back road, with the small car park at the front, with a quite none descriptive entrance. beond is an absolutely delightful hotel. At reception you are made extremely welcome and comfortable , Katrina,was especially helpful and informative showing me around the hotel restaurants, pool ,spa and bar areas. They gave me a free up grade to my room , which on the porter taking my case to my room was a delightful room with an extremely large quiet suite over looking farm land and the sea , with an unbelievable sunrise every morning. The room itself was amazing with a kitchen area , fully stocked fridge, coffee machine and kettle, with complementary free fruit bowl and bottle of wine, although no bottle opener, but after joking with Katrina , she arranged one instantly 🫡❤️ , asking me every time l saw her for the next 7 days if the bottle opener was still ok , nice bit of banter😂😂 The room was well designed, with lounge area, settee/bed extremely comfortable with a large tv , great balcony access . The bathroom is also very good with Jack and Jill type access from both the lounge/2nd bedroom area and the main bedroom. Fantastic walk-in rain shower and separate loo and his and her sinks. The main bedroom has an extremely large, comfortable double bed with good quality linen, with top quality pillows. Loads of wardrobe space, plenty of clothes hangers and a safe and hair dryer. From the main bedroom a second balcony access with fabulous views. The main buffet restaurant, for both breakfast and evening dinner has a fantastic choice and never disappointed The main restaurant is excellent with superb service, still with a very personal but professional staff I had something different every night and couldn’t fault the quality, presentation and flavour of a superb mixed menu . Manilos, Agria and Maria were so happy to be part of this amazing holiday offering such a personal, unique experience that normally doesn’t happen ❤️ The pool/cocktail bar was equally great , George Roulla , Antonia and Sergio stood out as amazing staff members but everyone else was just fantastic including all the other bar staff and pool attendants too many names to remember and acknowledge . One person who stood out was the lady who every night brought water and chocolate to my room was delightful,unfortunately I didn’t get her name. The pool area is excellent, with superb sun beds and good beach Overall an amazing place to have a holiday and can’t wait to go back !!!🌞🥰 Well done all !!

TLDR; Perfect for a switch-off relaxing break and to be taken care of by excellent staff. Nothing much going on around the hotel itself and beach isn’t the best in Greece (not the hotels fault). Clean, customer service is 10/10, food and drink all excellent. Some of the best we’ve had at AI’s previously. Cocktails and drink selection all top-notch too. Hotel aesthetic has a luxury feel and sunbeds all very comfy. Lots to choose from! Staff are all superb. Honestly can’t do enough for you. They were mortified I swept off my own messy crumbs off the table as that was their job. Special thanks to Roza and Maria for breakfast and lunch, Joshua, Jake, and Red for serving drinks all day with a smile, Toni and George for making the drinks day and night and Michalis for his flexibility on checkout giving us everything we needed for a late pick-up. Cleaning staff and groundskeepers are unsung heroes too. We loved the “Chocolate Lady” who delivered water and chocolate to our door every evening. Tipping is probably advisable early on as the staff have their favourites, but service is still great without. Personal preference! Lots of returning guests which is a good sign! The standard room was probably the best we’ve stayed in, in Greece. We requested a room on a higher floor 2 days before arrival and this was accommodated but might be trickier if at capacity (we read the ground floor rooms were a little dark!) but (we think) we ended up with a double upgrade and a partial sea view which was a huge bonus. Chania is accessible via bus for €2.50 each way and well worth a day out. We did a local winery tour at Karavitakis (€15-€25 each) but were ripped off by taxis being tourists €25-€30 each way for 15 min drive. Caters for all ages, mainly couples, and definitely fit for people looking to fully unwind. Not a place for a lively atmosphere (or much to do within walking distance) so be prepared to make your own fun and games. Only bits of feedback would be: The app didn’t work for 2 days on arrival which meant a lot of information about the hotel was missing until it did. At check-in, we weren’t told about this, and only what time breakfast was served. Had to ask around the next day. Staff didn’t seem to know the app wasn’t working either until we told them why we kept going to the bar. The layout could do with some changes: The à la carte restaurant is excellent but doesn’t feel that exclusive. Some of the dishes are served at lunch and in the buffet. Traditional Greek dishes were much better than western dishes like steak (no surprises there though). Entertainment also happens directly opposite the restaurant where it might be better placed near the bar to attract more people. The evenings are quiet. Hotel was only 50% capacity but we were often the only two people drinking around the bar 10pm after dinner. The indoor bar is rarely used and the lobby area isn’t that inviting for a drink. It could do with softer lighting, a different layout, and some entertainment. The outdoor bar is nice but comfy chairs are few and far between. At full capacity, I don’t know where everyone would sit. Lunch is à la carte which is great but we felt it was missing a snack bar if you didn’t want a sit down meal or fancied something like an ice cream in the afternoon.

We returned to the Asterion Suite and Spa Hotel after a fantastic 14 night stay in 2024. This year we stayed for 13 nights following 3 nights in Old Chania Town. On arrival we were received by many old faces from earlier visit. It really felt we had returned 'home!'. Same room 302 allocated with sea view and across the pool area. Comfy, clean and well furnished. Little in the way of change around the hotel. Main improvement of note - old wooden sunbeds have been changed to modern memory foam beds as now used in other Louis Hotels. Indoor gym as I recall was a little outdated. Now full range of modern equipment. Main obvious changes to the main buffet and 35° a l'a Carte menus and food options. Head Chef Antonis has clearly spent a lot of time over the closed season developing the new menus. Stunning is the best description and included in the AI package. All the staff are totally customer satisfaction minded. This year a large proportion of Phillipino workers have been employed. Very friendly, hardworking and courteous are of note. Local remaining staff compliment are superb. All really can be summed up easily. Previous fantastic visit has become at new fabulous level. We will be returning for sure.

We arrived last week and was greeted by a porter with 2 bottles of water. We checked in and had a lovely welcome drink. We went to our room and wow. Before we booked the hotel I emailed the hotel as my husband has mobility issues and it was also for our wedding anniversary. Yannis was amazing answering all my questions. On our wedding anniversary we had a bottle of wine and a cake. Lovely gesture. The food …… well we are well travelled all over the world and I have to say for Greece it’s the best food we have ever had. All fresh and lunch individually cooked. The evening buffet was exceptional and the a la carte outstanding. All branded drinks and the full cocktail list is included in the AI. I would give this hotel one of my top 5 in the world. Katarina in guest relations was exceptional as was the A carte manager and Goran in the buffet restaurant.We didn’t use the spa but it looked nice. All the staff couldn’t do enough for you and it was genuine. This hotel is truly wonderful and we will be back.Thank you so much Asterion hotel and all your wonderful staff. We leave on Thursday but we will be back without doubt
