Aulus Chania, Curio Collection by Hilton

We spent our honeymoon at Domes Aulus Chania and couldn’t have chosen a more perfect place. ❤️ Our room was spacious, with an incredible plunge pool, perfect for relaxing together. The atmosphere was amazing, and the staff were exceptional — so friendly, welcoming and attentive. The views were spectacular, especially the unforgettable sunsets. 🌅 The pool areas were peaceful and relaxing, while the food was delicious and the cocktails were fantastic! 🍹 The spa was beautiful and incredibly relaxing. We had the most wonderful stay and would absolutely love to return. ❤️

We’ve just had the most fantastic stay at Aulus Chania — just me and my two teenage boys — and we would definitely come back. I admit I was worried by the older negative reviews but there was absolutely no need. This was a first class holiday, and fully deserves its 5 star rating. The service here is genuinely outstanding. Every member of staff we met was so friendly and couldn’t do enough for us. They all seem to genuinely enjoy working here, which really comes across. The waiter service around the pool, deck area and even at your sunlounger is such a lovely touch. The food was spectacular every night. So much choice and everything we had was delicious. The only small criticism would be that some hot dishes could have been a little warmer, but the quality was fantastic. We loved the whole atmosphere of the resort. Beautiful sunsets, a really chilled vibe, brilliant DJ sets and the frozen mango margaritas were a particular favourite! 🍹 The sunloungers are incredibly comfortable and everywhere is spotlessly clean — from the rooms to the pool areas. You really don’t want for anything here. It feels luxurious but relaxed and never pretentious. The spa is glorious! Marina and the team can’t do enough for you. My sons used the sauna which was chargeable but well worth it. I had a massage and body scrub which was luxurious! The shuttle into Chania takes around 30 minutes, so it’s easy to head into town when you fancy a change of scene.it runs a couple of times a day. And despite being here with two teenage boys, we really appreciated that it’s not a party resort. It’s peaceful, stylish and relaxed, but still has enough going on to keep teenagers happy — which is quite a winning combination! I’ve had such a lovely time here with my boys and would definitely return in a heartbeat. There are very few places I’d return to - but this is definitely one. We were greeted upon arrival with a local welcome drink, which was delicious, and told that our room had been upgraded! As we had arrived an hour before we could get into our room, we went to the buffet restaurant for lunch and my friend is gluten-free so asked about the food and the chef, Alexander, came out and is discussed all of the food with her. He was always available for this, every meal time. After lunch, Yassin, one of the concierges met us back in reception and took us on a tour of the hotel before showing us to our rooms and our bags soon followed. The hotel itself was stunning. Beautifully designed, the food was incredible, table (or should I say sunbed by the pool) service, gorgeous views, fantastic evening entertainment but the best thing about our stay was the people. The staff are unbelievably friendly and welcoming, every time we went to the restaurant, they would remember our room number, ask us if we were enjoying our stay and personally showed us to a table. They didn't miss a beat in collecting our plates as soon as we were finished eating. They always made sure to say hello, they would check on you and it felt like in such a short space of time they became like friends. The day before we left, Yannis called our room to check that we had everything sorted for our return and if there was anything he could do/we wanted before we left and he made sure to come and find us before we headed to the airport. For me, this level of service is better than anywhere I have been to before. The hotel also has a spa and before booking treatments, Marina and Martha came offer free 5 minute treatments as a trial to see if we were interested in booking something within the spa. I am so glad they did this as booking a treatment made the stay even more relaxing. I cannot recommend this hotel highly enough. I will be sure to come back for longer next time!

What an amazing hotel. Genuinely one of the best Hilton stays we have ever had, particularly when it comes to the level of service. We arrived early and were able to check in without any problem. From the moment we walked through the door, we felt incredibly well looked after. Yannis from Concierge welcomed us with a drink, gave us a tour of the resort and arranged a buggy to take us to our room. We had just been married and were very kindly upgraded to a Junior Suite with our own private pool, which was such a lovely surprise. We were also sent a bottle of fizz and a cake to celebrate our wedding – such a thoughtful touch that made our stay feel extra special. The hotel itself is beautiful. I hadn’t realised how new it was when we booked, but everything is immaculate. The food, drinks, facilities and different areas around the resort are fantastic, and there is always something going on. We particularly loved the cocktail masterclass in the evening – it’s a perfect hotel for couples. Every member of staff we encountered was warm, attentive and genuinely seemed to care about our stay. Two people in particular deserve a special mention: Yannis and Konstantinos, who both went above and beyond. Their attention to detail and the way they looked after us was exceptional. This was also our first visit to Chania and we have been struck by how lovely everyone has been – from our taxi driver and the local pharmacist to every member of staff at the hotel. Nothing ever seemed too much trouble and the team were constantly checking that we had everything we needed. We only stayed for two nights and genuinely wish we could have stayed longer. If you’re considering booking Aulus Chania, stay here! We will 100% return and wouldn’t hesitate to recommend it to friends and family. Thank you for making part of our honeymoon so memorable. ❤️
