Castello Infinity Suites

There were many positives for this hotel but a few negatives too, and that's why we feel we couldn't give 5 stars. Staff were lovely and very welcoming, and the breakfast was amazing with lots of choice. Breakfast was served to your table. You had a menu to choose from with cold food like cereals and yoghurts and then a hot food selection, but the only problem was, we would order our cold selection and they then wanted you to order your hot food but brought it all out at the same time, rather then giving you your cold breakfast first and when you had finished that, you could then order your hot breakfast. So we ended up eating our hot food first and cereals or yoghurt after. We did mention this at breakfast, but nothing changed. Having the plunge pool on your balcony is great, but some younger people staying at the hotel were a bit loud and treated it more like a normal pool, splashing about and not giving any thought to their neighbour on the next balcony. It's for chilling out and relaxing in, and if you want to make lots of noise, you are better off at the beach, which is literally across the road or maybe at another hotel with a proper pool as this hotel doesn't have a pool. There are lots of lovely different restaurants to choose from a short walk from the hotel and really nice shops too but the walk along the beachfront is very busy with people everywhere, often bumping into you which doesn't always make for a pleasant experience. We didn't go on the beach as it got extremely busy and isn't a very wide beach. We didn't have dinner at the hotel as it was so expensive and the food was too fancy for us with little choice of food. It was never very busy but I think if the restaurant was less expensive and had more choice on the menu, it would attract more customers and it was disappointing we couldn't have eaten at least one night in the restaurant. Also, the hotel itself had no lounge area where you could sit and read your book or chill out rather than being in your room the whole time or on the balcony. We especially noticed this when we had an evening flight and had to vacate our room by 11 am as there was nowhere to sit inside. They did have seats around outside but it was too hot to sit there. So an inside cool lounge area would have been better.

Everything was perfect, warm welcome upon check in, the room was perfect, bed extremely comfortable and the pool was great cool off. Eric the manager was extremely helpful and friendly,breakfast was amazing and being greeted by the lovely Eleftheria every morning was a great start to the day, she’s a real credit to the hotel, all the staff were so friendly and warm, unfortunately I didn’t catch any more names..

My wife and I had already formed a very positive impression of Greece and the Greeks having in recent years started to visit the beautiful country. often.The Castello Infinity Suites in the delightful town of Agia Pelagia further heightened our love for the place. The hotel is terrifically located by the beach offering lovely views across the bay. We opted for a room with a plunge pool (most rooms seem to have this on offer) . Despite the weather being on the cool side for the first few days we used it daily. The staff of the hotel were exceptional in all respects and could not have been more welcoming. We booked the Black Pearl suite for a long needed sunbathing holiday. When we arrived at the hotel we found that the so called Black Pearl Suite was completely overshadowed by the floor above. The sun is behind the hotel and the sun beds would NEVER have any sun on them, any time or day of the year. The whole idea of a Cretan holiday was to lay on the sunbeds enjoying a glass of wine and soak up the rays and Vitamin D. We nicknamed it The Black Cave Suite. Worse, the jump pool was so cold we did not use it. To add to the frustration, directly outside the veranda is a public car park which had car doors slamming until the early hours. The attached photo says it all. The beaches in Crete consist of very sharp volcanic rock on which it is impossible to lay on a beach towel as the shards are so sharp. All in all, if you expect peace and quiet and enjoy sunbathing but you enjoy noise and lying on a cold bed in the shadows, pick the Black Peal Suite. The worst holiday we have had for decades. Almost $4,000 down the drain.

Perfect location behind the beach with sea views. Be aware there is not a swimming pool but all rooms have plunge pools on the balcony. The hotel is spotlessly clean with professional and friendly staff. Breakfast can be taken on the terrace or in the restaurant and is served to order with an excellent offering. The rooms with Mountain View’s get the afternoon sun. Our was on 2nd floor and had lovely views of sea/mountains so got a good amount of sun and a large terrace which was not overlooked. With only 28 rooms and adult only it is ideal for those looking for a quiet and perfect location. Would definitely recommend
