Erato Beach Hotel - Adults Only

Location is amazing a few mins walk, one way you're on the beach, the other you are on the long road with an abundance of restaurants, shops & bus stops to get about the area. The hotel was good, we were self catering. The only gripe I had was there wasn't enough sun loungers which I accept due to the space around the pool, so you then have no option but to use the loungers on the beach which Hotel Erato have their own, but they charge you to use. I think if they can't provide enough around the pool then Erato clients should be able to use the ones on the beach free of charge. Also the restaurant states its open until 10pm & bar until midnight, they were closed every evening we went out. Maybe because it was late September. I don't know!

I went on holiday to the hotel with my partner and my mother (84 years old). Unfortunately, we were given a room on an upper floor and had to arrange to get one on a lower floor. The dark-haired receptionist lady was fantastically kind and helpful—she gave us a new room within two minutes. A receptionist guy with a deep, resonant voice was also very kind to us and immediately got us an extra blanket when we asked. We stayed in room 201, where a dark-haired housekeeper was very efficient and an absolute darling to us. Unfortunately, we had to go down early to reserve sunbeds at the beach too, because the comfortable ones sold out quickly.

Very impressed. Great Hotel , we booked a studio apartment and it was wonderful. Immaculately clean. Amazing team running the hotel, so helpful , professional and always went the extra mile. Perfect location, no noise at night time. Impressive amenities. We will be rebooking this is a gem.

Good size apartment, equipped with everything you need. Hair Dryer (Shampoo, Shower gel. Toothpaste, Toothbrushes, Shavers, Sponges and Night masks all provided). Iron available at reception, they kindly let us hold onto it for the week (they must have a few) We quickly realised that we had no washing up liquid and sponges to wash the pots, we went out to buy some that evening but by the time we got back the cleaners had already washed all the pots which was really lovely of them! They done a fab job everyday! Location was great, plenty of shops/restaurants near by. Can get the public bus into Chania from the main road (On the right, on the opposite side of the road, the first public bus stop, before Lidl) 2euros 20 each (roughly a 30 min ride) the bus runs every 30 mins, last bus back to Platanias is 11pm. You get off at the bus station(it’s the last stop). Lidl 10 minute walk away. CrossFit gym around a 5 minute walk away. Getting to/ from the airport- you can get the public bus from the airport to Chania bus station and from Chania bus station to Platanias. Less than £5-£6 all together per person. They accept card payments on the bus. You get the bus from the same bus stop as above to get to the airport. (Platanias-Chania Bus station- Airport). If you’re arriving after 10pm at night your best bet would be a taxi, they charge roughly between £48-£60. They are waiting outside the airport. ( they accept card payments) You can prebook your taxi back to the airport from any taxi stand in Platanias. There is only a few sunbeds around the pool, they get filled quick. Plenty of sunbeds on the beach (it’s a pebbly one). There’s a charge of 8 euros for 2 beds. We didn’t try the food so I can’t comment on that. Overall happy with my stay. All the staff were lovely and the location was great.

Erato restaurant is top notch! The food is Perfect ond the service people are the best. Low prices and high quality! Highly recommended.
