Harmony Rethymno Beach

This is the perfect hotel if you wanna get away from a busy life. Amazing location with beautiful sunrises and sunsets. We were very pleased with the cleanness of the room and the hotel itself. I would recommend to book a room with the sea view as the view was breathtaking. The staff were very helpful and friendly all of the time. I don't remember the names of the pool bar team but thank you so much for all your service and for all of the nice coffes you made for us 🤗 The food selection was limited but if you're not a picky eater then you should be fine. I had my belly full all holiday 😀 Thank you to the restaurant team for looking after us and Stellios for always being up for a chat 🤗 Check in and check out was easy. Beach was rocky so bring water shoes with you. We would definitely stay with you guys again.

Lovely hotel, with a beautiful coast line location. The beach next to the hotel is its real selling point. The sea here is very rocky so you will need water shoes, but it’s great to swim in. The beach is semi-private so you won’t see anyone there unless they are staying at the hotel or at the restaurant next door The service staff are lovely and friendly, and very hard working within the bar and restaurant. The food is good quality and there are lots of options. I am a vegetarian and I don’t eat mushrooms, and I definitely didn’t go hungry!! The reception staff are friendly enough. Can’t say they were amazing, as we were pressured to pay tourist tax in cash. Still not really sure why. I did a fair amount of research before going away, and it’s well documented that everywhere should legally have a card machine. For ALL payments. Annoying, but they do ‘conveniently’ have a ATM in reception. Also had some trouble changing rooms. Nothing awful, just a disappointing start to the holiday. There is easy transport into Rethymno old town from outside the hotel. This is great if you want to do some activities. But if not, the hotel is perfect for a good rest and switch off. Things to note that are good to know: - This doesn’t feel like a 4 star hotel - the ‘gym’ is 3 pieces of equipment for cardio - tourist tax €10 per day, per room. ‘To be paid in cash only’. - it’s a good 2 hour drive from Chania airport - there is a lovely sandy beach 5-10 min walk

A wonderful vacation with my parents. The hotel is quite large, but the atmosphere is very homey — we felt incredibly well taken care of. The staff were always smiling, kind, and welcoming. Special thanks to the restaurant manager as well as Santosh and Manoli from the bar. The cleanliness of the rooms was impressive — everything spotless every day, with fresh towels provided daily. The food was delicious and perfectly seasoned. The beach access was just a few steps away. I recommend this place to everyone!

Beautiful Hotel, Friendly Staff, Clean & Comfortable..Food was Excellent.. Doing this review for my elderly parents who had an amazing holiday and stay at the Harmony Hotel. Hotel situated in Rocky Bay with lovely views . Would Return again..

On arrival, after a long transfer, we were quite happy. We were given a late lunch, but wasn’t very impressed but concluded that we were late and they were kind enough to wait for us. We had a great room by the pool, bar, restaurant etc. beds were comfy, shower was fabulous! Room was small but perfect for our needs (although a few extra hooks wouldn’t go amiss) cleanliness was iffy, especially the bathroom. It was cleaned every day but the shelf in the shower was minging and I purposely left to see if they cleaned at all. It has cobwebs which were clearly old. And grime. I’ll add pics if I can. So after a few days we had eaten in the restaurant we were getting concerned about the food. Repetitive, same pasta and bolognaise that was on offer on our arrival and every lunch and dinner after. Potatoes were swimming in oil. Fish, chicken or pork were cooked EVERY meal with chips. Everything was just lacking. Rice, veg, nothing was very tasty, was oily and limp. The breakfast was ok although I had to microwave it as it was lukewarm. I passed on the ‘sausage and bacon’ , only fried eggs or ‘omelette’ ( weird scrambled) when asked for alternative it was not allowed as the owners who sat on a special table, were watching. The good points about the food were, the yoghurt. Simply delicious. The cheese in the Greek salad. The bread and the desserts. I survived on salad sandwiches and desserts. I feel as though they were ‘finishing up’ and using what was left as it’s the last week of the season. But on top of that, there was no entertainment at all! Even though there was signs on arrival stating a Greek night and a dj night. Nothing. The pool table wasn’t working for about 4 days. This hotel is not close to anything so it was early nights all round every night. Overview. Hotel lovely. Needs improvement. Cleanliness, food, drinks and entertainment all sadly lacking. Staff were nice but clearly not happy due to hands tied/ bad pay? It appears that they don’t care/cater for their customers at the end of the season. NOT ONE GUEST WAS HAPPY. ESPECIALLY WITH THE FOOD.
