This hotel is beautiful and has so much going for it but just let down in a few areas that really matter. We attended the hotel as part of our honeymoon so we decided to book a seafront room with the private pool. The room was a little small but well appointed and very clean. The pool was absolutely pointless as it was far too cold to get in (our fault, we didn't realise it was wasn't heated), but the view was fantastic. After our first night of trying to sleep we had to contact reception as the room was far too warm to sleep, unfortunately the aircon would go off after an every hour which was not good for keeping it cool. Reception took note but didn't do anything, we believe the aircon is set this way for energy conservation (keep costs down). During our holiday we had 22 nights on Crete, the only 2 nights we struggled to sleep were here. The restaurant was in a beautiful setting and a fantastic selection of food, unfortunately it was all cold, I can't recall having any hot food at all during the two breakfasts we had here. The only other shame about the hotel was the top floor bar, it's advertised as being open until late but wasn't open on either of the nights we were there. It's a very well located hotel and the staff are genuinely welcoming, it's just a shame a few little things let it down.

This is an honest hotel review and not just about naming Spa staff. Just had 10 days here and the hotel is exceptional. It’s modern, clean and well run. ALL the staff are lovely, very polite, attentive and helpful. Rooms are spacious, spotless clean, large comfy beds, clean towels / bedding, free WiFi, safe, bath robes, bottled water and slippers. Storage, however, for us was a problem. There was no dressing table or anywhere to put items. For me drying and straightening my hair was a nightmare as the only mirrors are in the bathroom so I had to plug the straighteners into a plug above the sink and balance it on a towel hoping for the best! On a positive loads of wardrobe space. Don’t bother travelling with shampoo, conditioner and body lotion. These are in the room, topped up often and smell amazing. Breakfast is very good, loads of choice and something for everyone. Main pool area is fantastic with views of the bay . There is also an adult only pool on the top floor and no problem with sunbeds. There is a small beach area opposite the hotel that is free for guests to use but the sunbeds are very low to the ground. The beach is very pebbly so you would need to bring sea shoes. Perfect location for walking into the centre, literally 2 minutes lots of bars and restaurants nearby. Don’t walk past the 1st Restaurant as you’re walking into town on your right side, the food and the price is amazing. It’s called. So Mesogeiako. So why only give this hotel three stars?? only because of the location of our room. We were allocated a disabled room. We didn’t book a disabled room and it was on the side of the hotel. It was directly opposite residential flats that were so close we could see what they were eating on their balcony. I immediately went downstairs to reception and told them I was not happy with the room and was there a possibility to move? Wasn’t even bothered for a Seaview room but just wanted to be away from that specific area. The answer was sorry no, we are completely full but come back in a few days and we will see if we can change you to another room at a cost of €70 per night!!!!!!!!! We were here for 10 nights, had already paid a lot of money to stay in this hotel and on top of that with the tourist tax this would’ve been our spending money gone. We stayed in room 457 and made the best of what we had as you can see by the photographs to try and give us and the people opposite some privacy. Reception never got back in touch with us or followed up with an alternative. Very poor customer service in my opinion. Because of the lack of customer service follow-up, we certainly would not use this hotel again.

The experience was amazing, Grace was very kind, and the massage was excellent. I’m very satisfied!
